I would like to propose two possible enhancements to the Mercy:
Resurrection ability could be carried out from a certain distance (same as boosting or healing) so it would be safer to resurrect.
or
Resurrection could have zero cast time but it would resurrect heroes with half of health.
Hope my tips will be useful to better balance Mercy.
I’m worried that mercy may accidentally skip past the soul as she rezzes, losing the cooldown and no rez.
Not the half health idea again… just no…
That just providing more resource for an ultimate gain. Mercy gains by healing as her primary method of ult gaining… that is why she can be screwed over by the other supports on her, particularly Moira.

That is always a concern which is what went wrong sometimes with 1.0… like people do not die in a nice neat pile for you to mass res them…
Like in the past we dive in ad then we have to position outselves so we can get as many as possible within the 15m radius and then cast resurrect… sometimes we just can’t do it because people are barely within range so 2~3 player res was the most common.
Here is a list of the reasons why mercy is not fun
-Her ult is not an ult, it doesn’t seem game changeing, your just an easy target to shoot
-People hate you for not play mercy, they hate you if you do play her
-Rez is just not a feel right
-She does not reward the player with a flashey abilities or ult, you are just trying to run from the enemy, and keep your team alive (and sometimes trying to no get the team flamed at you)
-Overall mercy needs a flashey ult or ability, make it look cool from the players point of view and the enemy’s point of view

it doesn’t need to be flashy. her ult just needs to be engaging. as it stands now there’s little to no decision-making during the ult. so what i’m saying is valkyrie doesn’t need to be flashy or looks cool, it just needs it’s impact to be gained via the abilities of the player. not the hold mouse button gameplay we have right now. valkyrie should compliment the player’s skills, not do their job for them.
also i’m fine with rez. though, i’d prefer if we earned the rez. that way we can maybe reduce the % of the slow or outright remove it

I still want a cleanse on Mercy’s E. Actually, it’s more of casting a short Orisa fortify (cleanse+damage reduction) onto a teammate, so long as the damage resist does not stack.
It ties into her old “watch/analyze the field for what’s coming, and plan two steps ahead” gameplay. It gives her something active to do between Q presses. It reinforces Mercy’s “Angelic pacifist watching over her team” image. (The visual effect could be Mercy granting her teammate an etherial halo!)
I also think it’s a much better counter to one-shot abilities/combos than rez, since it requires more skill to use it for that purpose, and it’s preventative nature makes it feel much less bs to play against.
To be honest… do we even have enough Buff effects to have a debuff hero…
Honestly… if we can get another Buff/Debuff Specialist like Zenyatta… that was any good then yeah maybe we will get something interesting… like I would like ‘Clense’ to be on a Hero 28 or something like that.
Has the ability to support the team with Buff abilities to either increase damage, defense or recovery gained… and a ability to debuff a team mate of negative status effect…
Ultimate can be a team wide stun, slow or cast a single target blindless or be a super buff ability and then have their normal skill set to be heavy disruption and debuffs… not sure what to do about their main damage dealing abilities unless it was a poison skill that Damages over Time.
A herb or medicine user that specialises in drugs…
It wouldn’t just be preventing/clearing status effects, it would be giving a damage reduction buff. That’s why I made the comparison to Orisa’s fortify, and specified that the damage reduction buff should not stack with other similar abilities.
I was silenced. It look like people are flagging what they dont like now, to try and get people ban.
What happened to your message?
I have seen it in action on youtube videos and it looked amazing.
My personal dislike is the cast time, but I understand that she’d be too quick, but it can be annoying, especially when you’re close to completing the rez and it messes up (it’s also buggy with the ultimate, since if you fly up or move away while rezzing, it cancels and goes on a cooldown, which I’ve reported on the bug section).
In short: I ain’t furious by the changes, I just wish for instant rez for her ultimate (a developer comment when they first added the cast time to her normal rez said that they kept the instant cast on the ult, so she felt strong still, and now it kind of contradicts lol).

I just got a threadlock/redirect for a topic asking whether or not Mercy’s current state is permanent. What the hell?! That wasn’t feedback!!!
There flushing every mercy post into here so they can keep the forums “clean” which i find very funny bc it only is showing how much they really don’t care about us.

“Flushing”, huh? I think I’ll use that term from now on.
“My Mercy post just got flushed down to the megathread.”

Honestly… I would like to see the 7th Support have that and rather than Healing… they can provide something strong in the sense of Buffs and Debuffs…
But not having Healing could result in the support hero being about as low a pick rate as Symmetra

But you did mention She Who Must Not Be Named. This is the only place people are allowed to speak her name freely.

lol Mercy becomes a noseless and hair less witch and calls herself Lady Mercimort
Almost all of them are to be honest i could make a post “is mercy a good support” than they will flush it down the river to the mega thread.
