She’s more than obviously not on the table, she got hit with a bat and she’s STILL the second most picked support across all ranks, she’s fine where she is

There are 3 main healers. Being second most picked means nothing. When there’s 16 dps it means something.

Her pick rate in gm+ is 2%. That’s where I play so I care.

Yes, that is definitely something that needs to be changed, as she can just fly into anyone and insta kill them

Meant by what? x5 is most certainly not worth complaining about. I’d say I had around 5 with 350 hours on her. I’ve seen more quintuple kills.

Maybe you dont think it was worth complaining about but i did/do, so where do we land…im happy about where mercy is, ok pick rate, dont have to worry about her determining the outcome of every fight, overall the game is more fun for more people.

Did you check the time? Because I thought hte standard mode if you change none of the settings shows 2 monthes or something like that

I myself don’t give a damn about balance, I’d gladly take underpowered like Mercy during the tank meta if it means she’s fun to play again

Shes been boring for me since day 1 so i just dont get that sentiment. But out of interest whats different? still just beaming people, and using ga to get around seems like not too big of a gameplay change

The kit is the same yes, that’s why I’ve commented that I have loads of fun when I go into qp and do what I call the OG Mercy challenge. The challenge to go the whole game never popping ult or rez.

See not only does Valk not live up to the fun and awesome feeling of the original rezzurect but both the new rez and Valk sap what fun out of her base kit

Valkyrie despite not being invulnerable feels too survivable for a hero who’s main appeal is being fragile and mobility being their only way of surviving. On top of this for entire fights at a time the chain heal does your job for you and there is literally no way to save people or get better with said ult, just hoping against hope that the enemy don’t have any focus fire

As for rez, it’s the reverse, with how risky it is turning Mercy into sniper bait it is jarring to use, applying concrete shoes to a highly mobile hero. On top of THAT the ability somehow despite the danger in using it is both the only thing Mercy does better then her competition (Ana and Moira have higher HPS then her by a pretty significant margian and both also have actual utility outside of their base healing) and manages to feel underhwelming and cheap. As if the ability is a test of skill for everyone EXCEPT the Mercy player.

Ok i feel you. But hear me out, OG rez probably was alot of fun but if over-survivability is what you hate about valk, OG rez made you totally invulnerable so it required just enough skill to get to a person, imo not very much. So at least flying and dodging would seem more fun to me, ill grant you much less impactful.

BUT, the problem is OG rez was SO unfun for everyone else, multiple minutes of hard work building ults and setting up plays undone in a flash by one character who just healed (no aim so it was fairly easy generally) and then just flew in with GA and pressed q, so just some decent situational awareness you could pull off a 2 or three man rez.

I get you on hating new rez, i dont care cuz i dont play her but i understand it must suck to have to be still for that long and be that easy of a target, but honestly my solution is delete thatt ability and replace with something completely new, i dont think instantly bringing players back to life can be balanced.

FIrst of al I’d like to make one thing very clear, I have been advocating a return to the no invulnerability Mercy, a place that actually discouraged anything resembling hide and rez because Mercy never survived full team rezes (aside from a few specific maps where rezzing through walls was at all consistent which LOS I would be totally cool with)

But making that 5 man rez a last ditch effort of a wiped team that is going to make a last stand without their main healer, I love that idea personally and unless you’re mashing every ult into that wombo combo you mention it shouldn’t be that hard to kill a team without their main healer especially when you’ve got positioning advantage.

On one final note, I’d just like to mention it was not bad for everyone ele.
Heroes Never die encouraged a lot and I mean A LOT of cheering from entire teams, it’s cerainly better for team morale then just watching a Genji dragonbalde to a sick 6 man I’ll tell you that right now

i think thats a matter of perspective, because cheering on one side usually means tilting on the other, when my genji dragon blades and kills 5 im cheering my head off not wishing mercy was coming to rez them all…

On the note of no invulnerability rez i think thats better but still not great. But i must say, when i read that without their main healer line, all i imagined was mercy’s rez having a caveat that she killed herself on 5 mans lol that actually made me giggle a little

I guess I should complain about all of the things I hate dealing with then, even if they are super rare.

It was actually a lot of fun to be mass rezzed by Mercy because it was a second chance, and her voiceline was empowering.

And you’d rather throw away the enjoyment people who actually played her had because you had “nightmares” of something that was simply frustrating to play against just like all of the other ults? People like Mercy now because she can’t do anything impactful against them. She just sort of exists. She poses no great threat. Rez is no longer a threat.

And stop using the stupid pickrate argument. Good heavens. I’m so tired of it.

Unfortunately blizzard seems to use pick rate and win rates to account for balance. Which is idiotic for a healer.

Supports don’t win Games. Period. Dps does.

There are 5 healers. There are 16 Dps. Pick rates. Lol.
