Extra amount of Hype into HALLOWEEN But Not Hyped

Wat?

Agreed

Event mini games are fun treats but the customization they bring is what I like most. Skins, voice lines, emotes. They add more life to the game, more interaction

If they’re paywalled, big L

With any luck, the battle pass should be a sufficient money maker, and they’ll have room to offer free event content

I mean the mini game is probably gonna be fun for like 2 playthrough and then it’s boring lol

I expect there will be some kind of incentives to play the new event. Maybe nothing so huge as a free legendary. They should really get some bonus coin rewards in there though if they want to attract players.

Yeah! Who cares about game modes! Skins are the only things that matter in games.

lol the only thing people have been looking forward to when it has come to this event after the first 2 years… have been the skins

no not surprised ppl don’t have hype for it

One of the main reasons, yes.

Imagine removing every cosmetic.

Do you think it would have been as popular? No.

Aren’t you exited to get the opportunity to blow a hundred bucks on 5 ingame cosmetics?

“You aren’t the target audience for the cosmetic content in this event. But that’s ok and to be expected cuz ‘game is F2P’ and everyone else started doing it too, so enjoy your free event, all you can play—for FREE!”

Honestly I want to make this phase it’s own topic

and gather opinions around using it.

But currently juggling other things before I prefect it.

This does not even apply here. Most F2P games have events with items that can be bought, BUT also a lot of stuff that you can earn for free. So that all players WANT to log in and play during the event.

I hope they do the bare minimum of at least 3 epics for free, like we always got back in OW1. But even that could be not enought.

Already saw the last Bastion’s years coffin skin priced at basically $70 dollars worth or points.

is there another main reason to care for an event?

What!? That’s insane …

Yeah… But doesn’t surprise me with Blizz.

Honestly seeing few places trying to Overcharge me lately.

Like What-a-Burger overcharged me last week,

Blaming the price on inflation.

But I pointed out they added an extra burger (without giving me one) and had to talk to their manager. (mostly because they refused to see “the mistake”.)

Yep, no reason to care if you won’t get anything out of it. I can’t believe it requires rocket science level explanations to get it through some people’s heads, although some are willingly just going: "new content so its fine  " even though it literally isn’t fine under any circumstance.

If people cared only about the skins, then they wouldn’t be playing at all and they’d just look at pictures of them online. I’m sure that you and plenty of people wouldn’t mind if all the characters were just wiremesh hitboxes on maps with no textures and just flat colors, with no music playing, but a lot of people would call the game lazy or unfinished like that.

Visuals and appearance are part of a game, even if they’re less important to you than others. They are rarely, if ever, the sole reason people play. But having the ability to get them suddenly taken away is going to negatively impact how plenty of players feel about the game, making the whole experience less fun over all.

For you, you worry what happens if they gameplay is boring and you don’t want to play. For a lot of people, they worry about the removal of progression hurting how they enjoy the game.
