Experimental Mode – Moving the Meta with Hero Updates

Why do you guys keep nerfing Sigma and Orisa but leave reinhardt alone or buff him? A legitimate question

Actually, I really like these. Except for the Orisa stuff. That looks like a big ouch.
Making her literally useless OR ONLY playable together with Sigma. I mean… More than she already is.

sounds like you hate roadhog, and roadhog is who got me into overwatch always been a big fan, its nice that we can both agree with the 1-3-2 changes being a good thing for him and the game in general

Seems like this balance patch is to improve gm and top 500 play while making a lot of these heroes which are already dumpstered below masters even worse. This is even worse than the genji buff. At this point it’s time to think about separate balancing for high and low Elos. Brig, sigma, and orisa are basically non existent below diamond.

yeah I don’t think nerfing her total health was the call either.

Because it’s aimed at the 1%.

This looks like a phenomenal patch. My only suggestions are to please look at Sym’s hitbox, and also consider upping Orisa’s barrier HP so she can function without Sigma and serve as a nice main tank.

I like how this is becoming DPSwatch day by day.

Ah yes, making Orisa and Sigma even more useless as solo tanks LOL I swear you guys are just so bad.

Dunno bout balance yet but:
Zen right-click feels so natural like they finally fixed him
Hog recovery is not ok to me

That’s the only thing he can get if they say they just change base values, he can be good at bursting down barriers and catch out of position people again.

Hi,

I enabled experimental mode in my training range 2.2 but Brig doesn’t have 150 health. I’m confident that I’m on experimental mode because I see Hog having 5 ammo or Sigma having a 700HP barrier for example. Care to explain?

edit:
Ah ofc nvm. “Brig has 200 HEALTH and 50 ARMOR

i find it really funny my descend in despair in one thread:

First, Expectation

Second, Dissapointment

3rd, negotiation

Brig has 200 HEALTH and 50 ARMOR

they recued her HEALTH by 50

so now she has 150 HEALTH and 50 ARMOR

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how harsh this slower rate of fire feels though. Less uptime on dealing damage outside of hook means more time he’ll be spending as an ult battery

And genjis rate of fire revert was less than this, and his mains are practically rioting over it hahaha.

I’m not sure if this is an exact damage revert off the top of my head, but they previously made the inverse change (increased ammo, faster fire, lower damage) as a nerf. Since most of his kill potential is associated with shooting someone immediately after a hook, the amount of damage that a single shot does is more important to him than his overall rate of damage output.

I’ll say it again, give anchor tanks a 50% debuff if 2 of them are in one team and give them back their good barriers. This just makes shield tanks entirely useless. I anticipated that double shield will stay with the nerfs to shields before… but this? This will absolutely murder them.

Really liking those changes!

Would only want Brig to have a slightly higher barrier recharge rate, not back to the old level but somewhere between where it is now and the previous value.

Other than that it looks great imo

I’d rather see them buff Pharah/Junkrat/Sym/Bastion have synergy and counterplay to double shield. Instead of nerfing less options in tank.

Let Sym have her pierce back. Shazam! She’s back to countering barriers again.

Give us more viable heroes not more nerfed why play these heroes or roles

I’m fine with the inspire change. But why nerf her health? Why not just take back the repair pack charges? Her survivability isn’t the issue in gm

or just do this:

make them weaker to dive so double barrier can be counter picked
