Us Ana mains can take it after we fell out of the meta over a year ago, we can take it that a lower skill floor hero was a must pick compared to our main who’s a peak of mechanical skill in the support category, but why taunt us with so called buffs which have little to no impact in the game?
First of all, let’s address the fear of buffing her. No, Ana will not enforce a tank meta as she has in the past. The season 3 meta was created by the over powered biotic grenade giving the teammates hit by it 100% more healing, and that’s since been nerfed to 50%. The only way that a tank meta was able to form with Ana was due to the old grenade, Roadhog being a 600hp Reaper with crowd control, and Dva having 400 armor which made her never die with the 100% healing bonus. If Moira, being able to group heal 80 hp/s and over 100 hp/s with her healing orb cannot enforce a definite tank meta, than a single target 75 hp/s healer like Ana most definitely cannot. The only reason that we are currently faced with a tank meta currently is due to Brigitte, and Anti Heal itself has no effect on the armor Brigitte provides her teammates. Ana would if anything, be a liability in this meta as Reinhardt is since she would be a pincushion for stun abilities.

How can you say that a hero like Ana only needs minor buffs when Moira, a lower skill floor hero, outputs nearly 2 times the damage, and 1.6 times the amount of healing as Ana?
Now, let’s address the obvious issue with Ana.
Survivabiliy
Being obviously overshadowed by other main healers for over a year, it’s obvious why. Unlike Moira being able to right click a target to drain 30 hp/s or throw out an orb and receive up to 200 healing, or even have Mercy’s passive 20 hp/s, Ana has only 1 form of self heal which doubles as her only utility ability within the game and only self heals 100 health. Please, please, please, please just give her a passive self heal. I don’t care if it’s similar to Mercy’s except only 10 hp/s, but anything would be better than having to use our best ability to heal ourselves than use it for it’s intended use. Fixing Brigitte and adding these minor changes to Ana won’t suddenly change her competitive winrate of 46% to near 50% like every other heroes.
Please, just listen to the statistics. Ana has been in a near throw pick status for nearly a year now, and these changes introduced on PTR won’t change it.
