Haven’t they said that they were basically putting development of heroes and maps on hold 'til OW2 or did I miss something?

Dont count on that too hard mate.
Devs themselvs said that they’re going on the silent side due to ow2, etc.
And not to mention they also mentioned that their release schedule will change too.

LMAo theyare silnet because they are alwys silent… But one thing is for sure this game is getting boring and boring by the day with no new hero and map…
They said they would release a hero between Blizzcon and OW2 but no one has any ideia when that is, I guess it depends on when OW2 will come out, they’ll probably do it in the 50/50 pathway…
I mean if OW2 is coming out around blizzcon then the new hero will probably come out around MAY… If it comes out later I assume it’s because OW2 will take evne longer to come out and this game will continue being stale andloosing interest

I mean, theoretically, that’s not impossible.
But, that would be a lot for them to drop at once. And, trying to put two new things into the game, around the same time, might be too much work for them.
I don’t know, though. There’s nothing saying that can’t happen, I guess

It won’t. They still need to release preorders on bnet. And when they release preorders, they also need to announce the official release date.
There would be no point in releasing OW2 around Blizzcon because it would kill all surprise/anticipation - leading to another flop.
If there is something that can shake things up in this game are new heroes

I know all of that lool I was jsut thinking best cae scenario… Because if it’s not coming out in Blizcon then will most likely only come out in 2021… And I think that’ll be terrible for the game that will loose a lot of players during this dead time

Nah. It’ll likely just be yet another hero that snipers and Doom will completely shut down.
To be honest, the game has been in a content drought since 2018. I’m sure another year or two will be okay
