Echo's "Echomorph" spray is a reference to Animorphs

Many people have been pretty confused about one particular Echo spary.

That being Echo’s “Echomorph” spray:

Many people assume it is a reference to her dup, or unsure what it means. However the spray is actually a reference Animorphs, a series of kids novels.

Animorphs is about a group of teenagers who can turn into any animal they touch. They mostly use their powers to battle evil aliens.

I’ll be honest, this is some serious nostalgia for me. Those books where published between 1996 to 2001 and were pretty popular in Canada. My elementary school had a full stock of them.

I never thought I would hear from them again, yet here they are.

Looking at those animorph covers is giving me déjà vu. I never read them but they look so familiar.

They were everywhere back in the mid-late 90s. Book series finished in like 2001.

And man, I’m really mad that I didn’t see that spray, it’s so cool and I would have bought it instantly but for some reason Echo’s sprays aren’t showing up as available for me? It’s weird.

This brought me directly back to 4th grade where we went to the book fair and I’d buy some Animorph books, and a bookmark that was holographic with like waterfalls and a tiger and dolphin on front

To be fair, the covers messed with a lot of kid’s minds.

You probably passed by them at a local book store or library. They were everywhere back in the day.

It might be server lag, so far I can see them and buy them as well.

The people who DIDN’T automatically get that Echomorph = Animorph are way too young. Or I’m old. Either or.

pogchampion! Oh man I have read most of it and loved it as a kid!
I also remember finding the tv series a couple years back somewhere on the internet, my god that was so bad XD

I read a lot of them. They were really dark for kids books that were externally just about some teenagers that like animals.

Covered topics like consent, murder, genocide, depression, and suicide. Crazy stuff for my wee little mind at the time.

You might have watched the TV series.

Yeah, it had a decent following here in the United States as well. I remember the books and the TV series pretty vividly.

They even had the series on Netflix streaming a few years back.
