We deseprately need more high skill supports like Ana and Zen. Echo seems to be the perfect candidate for that. Her heals should be aim intensive but extremely rewarding and her utility powerful but leave her vulnerable if not used properly.
I’m so excited about Echo and the next hero seeing how GOOD they made ashe feel. I think they’re done making ez heroes as they’ve finally realized they’re pushing away their FPS crowd with silly heroes like Brig and Doomfist.
I woud like that as well, but as long as it’s not vulnerable to dive like ana and zen are. I love ana/zen but they don’t really complement each other that well and are easily hard countered.
Oh I wasn’t talking about dive. I think if she mismanages her abilities she should be outaimed by dps heroes basically. Sort of like ana. But she should definitely be able to fight back… like ana and zen.

both ana and zen are countered by dive. Well that’s half right. ZEN is integral part of dive but is usually the first one to die. I agree that we need a support that requires aim, but if it’s vulnerable to highly mobile heroes like genji and tracer because it requires fine precision and has no other tools at her disposal to deal with them, it’s going to be bad.
i would like to second this!, i like a tracer kind of support that uses allot of mechanical skill/cooldown management but is extremely mobile.
I think they should bring fun/rewarding accessibility back into heroes. People who are not into aim intensive heroes should not have to be relegated to healer and tank.
I don’t think Echo will be aim intensive. But she will certainly require more aim than Moira, Mercy, or Brigitte. I think Echo will be a more skill-based version of old Mercy/Symmetra. She will likely be able to fly and give shield health. I made a hero concept a few weeks ago for Echo that could be a possibility:
I mean I like your idea. And it’s pretty possible. The only thing that makes me feel like it’s not gonna happen is the fact that the last 2 supports they released were not aim intensive at all, and very generous when it comes to that. And they saw what kind of outcry that caused. So Echo will most probably be high-aim high reward hero with great utility but probably a weaker ultimate.
