Actually terrible.
Primary fire is back to doing no damage on top of more self slow for no reason.
Good luck using DM on anyone other than yourself and even then you just blow up.
Worst of all is having zero knockback resistance so booster is completely nullified.
Just terrible. I have no clue why anyone would stick around playing Dva or tanks at all in 6v6.
5v5 all the way compared to this. No way I’d trade 5v5 Dva for a massively nerfed 6v6 Dva with a side of roadhog for your second tank.
they should have not reverted any tanks and instead nerfed their damage by ~20% (other than Winston, he does no damage anyhow). and got rid of crit reduction

The idea is that maybe people who were afraid to tank alone would come back to tank with a buddy. That being said, I believe that the reality is that people have had a taste of what their hero could be and do not want to lose that power. I am doubtful that nerfing tanks will increase their playerbase. We shall see…

In all fairness, D. Va was fine until that one patch that giga-buffed her. She’s fine again. I don’t think she’s broken. She was broken for maybe a patch at most and when they introduced Juno and she had hyperspeed (apparently a bug).
Still, D. Va was like this in OW1 and it was never a deterrent for me. She was still fun but you really needed a main tank to play alongside because she couldn’t do everything on her own and that was never her design to begin with.

I’d much rather have a hero that’s fun to play with all the power in the role on me alone than play a far inferior version while hoping what is lost can be made up for by the second tank player.
Tank isn’t fun to play in this version of 6v6 and if their goal is to have queue times fast enough to make games then this is not how you do it. You will lose tank players very fast.
The novelty of it is fresh and people like it for that alone but as soon as the dust settles I’d be more than willing to bet no one will bother playing tank.

i think you might find that the ‘‘Tank’’ Role is now about Tanking instead of big damage.
TBH from my perspective, i love it. Either work with ya team or simply loose. Not trying to be disrespectful of course, just my perspective.
You will now have to use D.va like Winston as an Assassin to Dive in and Finish people instead of being as durable AND brawling focused.

Being less lethal is not a bad thing,as the lethality needed to be spread between the 2 tanks a bit.
Mhm. Tanking isn’t just necessarily being a damage sponge, but taking/making/denying space or supporting your other teammates including the other tank.
Dva has always had high burst damage windows, but that isn’t her main purpose. Even Zarya, whose DPS on full charge rivals some DPS heroes in general, isn’t made to be a “gain charge” bot. If you play Zarya properly, you will have good charge regardless. In 6v6 her bubbles were way harder to manage as well, so you really had to time your stuff and the reward was multidimensional rather than “ha ha I zap with big strong cannon” (that’s still fun to do regardless).
I think 5v5 just brainrotted us a bit into certain expectations for this.

So you like 5v5 more just because dva is absolutely broken. How about learn how to use balanced dva then talk about 6v6. This is how she was in overwatch 1 and was always considered the best off tank.
My biggest complaints are the self slow and the lack of knock back resistance. One of my favorite things about going to Overwatch 2 was not being bounced around like a pinball. I don’t want to go back to being CC’d so easily. Also the extra self slow just makes her feel bad. Being slow makes everything feel worse.
I’m not against some form of 6v6, but this ain’t it chief.

This is the worst one really. It is so awful to be slow. D.Va needs to be faster.
Enough dps players cried that they want to kill tanks again. Same reason we went to 5v5 enough of them cried about queue times.
Isnt this just old D.Va though, a lot of the mechanics was similar to that. D.Va back then was more used for DM.
