You don’t need to stand still all the time. Only sometimes when you need regeneration. It would feel like Roadhog’s old take a breather, but as passive. And it should fit sniper hero better than tank.
Now thats The dream patch!
changes
Might as well stick to the heroes I know:
McCree: combat roll now has a 6 second cooldown
Soldier 76: Burst starts one bullet later
Ana: passive heal. Nano boost heals target
Nice constructive feedback, bro.
I only want one :
- projectiles hitboxes now fit their respective models.
Doomfist/Mccree/Sombra/Junkrat/Brigitte changes are horrible to describe them as dream patch notes
They already do
But since each projectile has a width associated with it, effectively they’re larger
But in terms of actual hitboxes, hitscan & projectile is now the same.
Except it is not true. Each projectile has it’s own hitbox size. Hanzo arrows has different size from Junkrat’s grenades, for example.
I like how you omitted the part where I explicitely said that in the same post…
But since each projectile has a width associated with it, effectively they’re larger
But actual hitboxes are the same. The game doesn’t differentiate between the two like it once did. However, since projectiles have width, they are effectively bigger
Basically, if you imagine the hitbox as a circle, for hitscan characters, the projectile size is 0 and it has to be strictly inside of it. The hitbox is the same for projectile but since projectiles have width and if any part of the projectile touches the hitbox, it will count as a hit. Meaning, it can touch it on the outside with the edge of the projectile and it will be a hit. Before, the hitboxes were actually separate and were much larger for projectiles
what abt bastion <3>
I don’t know, maybe its a language barrier, but I have no idea how it can make any sense to say that hitboxes are same and at the same time they have different sizes because of width or whatever else. If they have different size they are already not same.
Because before they actually used to be different. The game had separate hitboxes for hitscan and projectile. Now it uses the same. But effectively, it ends up different because projectiles have different sizes, however, it’s not nearly as different as it was before
So it means they are different, not same. They can use same size from edge of projectile to edge of hitbox, but summary will be different in the end. So there is no point to call them the same.
Doomfist would be stupid. There’s already a lot of Doomfist one tricks in GM as it is. Can we balance around gm please?
No, the hitboxes are the same. But with how the game treats collisions, you end up with effectively different hitboxes.
What I suspect used to be the case before, projectiles didn’t have actual width and instead they just had specific hitboxes that were significantly bigger than actual hitscan hitboxes (also bigger than effective projectile hitboxes now).
Balancing around the 1% is utterly pointless.
If they got to the 1%, then they should figure out how to counter Doomfist considering he dies easily.
Okay, I get it. You don’t understand geometry, that is a reason of our misunderstanding.
Ok, lol, think whatever you wish.
Just a hint: if hitbox has a round shape (circle or sphere) its size calculated by radius. And radius starts in center of projectile, not on it’s edge. Hitscan bullets has no size, so their center = their edge.
You refer to the length between edge of hitbox and edge of projectile, and that length can be the same for hitscan and projectiles, but actual size of hitbox calculated from center. That is why, for example, hitbox of Rein’s Flamestrike is not even close in size to hitbox of any hitscan bullet or even other projectiles.
