I know it’s the best part of genji’s kit but I thought that Dragonblade could be buffed by letting genji deflect beams during dragonblade. It would be a good buff because genji could finally get a reason to deflect during dragonblade and it could have a new, more defensive use.

Genji is already pretty much an ultbot, and you want to make him stronger as an ultbot? If anything they should buff his base kit and slightly tone down his ultimate.

I don’t think that would be good for the consistency of how abilities work in the game. So I don’t think it would be a good change.

Deflecting beams should be apart of base genji imo, its probably just too challenging for them to develop. If he can deflect fire, whatever moiras orbs are, black holes, and giant german hammers, I think he should be able to shrug off some laser beams (one of the few things that can actually be reflected irl lol). Stuns should be the consistent thing that he can’t deflect.
Throwing more power into the strong part of his overall weak kit won’t help. Right now he’s a nanoblade bot and his problem is the rest of the game.

Should be nerfed instead, Genji pressing Q and holding M1 has become a meme POTG a long time ago. It’s strong as F on its own, even worse when nano boosted.
But I guess edgy cyber ninjas don’t get nerfed.

Very untrue, nearly anyone in the game can stop it. The problem is that nanoblade is too strong, but nakedblade is weak. If they buff blade, nanoblade would be even more obnoxious, and if they nerf it, then normal blade would be even more garbage than it is now.

as a Genji main no. He is already being prevented from getting buffs cause of Ana and nano blade now imagine if they buffed the ult lol

His ultimate is already most useful.
I’m a Genji main with over four hundred hours on the hero (Across all accounts) since Season 5, and I actually like this idea. I mean, if they’re trying to revert all powercreep, this could potentially be a great temporary change whilst they do so.
If you are gonna risk pissing off people by suggesting a genji buff, at least come up with a good one that actually helps genji.
Deflecting beam during ult or 6 more shrikes does not fix genji’s problem in any way.

It’s a great change, though, increasing his survivability while ulting while they’re reverting powercreep.
As of right now, Genji’s blade is fine, it’d probably be a bad idea to increase its duration back up to 8 seconds like it was at launch, especially with Nanoboost in the game now.

Genji’s blade is one of the best kill-wise, is versatile, and combos well with many other ults - in short, it’s the last place to buff him if you don’t want a series of harsh nerfs later down the line (and it would happen). Genji shouldn’t be a blade-bot like Sombra currently is an EMP-bot, it’s bad for them both.
I honestly think Genji suffers mostly the meta because shields made it more difficult to poke, not to mention he doesn’t synergize with Moira at all and is countered by her. With the shield nerfs and Moira nerfs in combination with Dive buffs I think he will make a comeback. But if any buffs should be given it’s probably to his shurikens primarily.

The nerfing of shields is a buff for Genji, so he’ll be fine.

No, don’t buff his ultimate, that’s literally what genji is for nowadays.
Slightly or indirectly buff his normal kit and i’ll be happy.
