Doomfist needs a nerf

Revert back to S1 Doomfist, who was perfectly fine, and keep him that way. Do NOT listen to your fans cope. If they can’t win on S1 Doomfist, they do not deserve to play Doomfist.

The 4 second stun is a bit much. Makes things like sigma ult or shift impossible to not get stunned out of.

The stun on a 4 second cooldown is insane.

Worse than Sombra.

They could at least require the punch to be fully-charged (not empowered, just charged) for it to stun. That would at least bring it up to every 5 seconds.

Rocket Punch not causing a stun would make no sense whatsover to even be slightly useful.

He has it available every four seconds, yes, but he still has to charge it for it to do anything. There is no use to charge up something in place as a sitting duck to just shove someone back while still able to keep firing on you while you were a sitting duck.

Come on people, think a little.

the wall stun should not exist without empowered punch

he already stuns you out of abilities by tapping it

As far as mitigation goes, the midseason patch was a non-event for me. But I’ll say this: with 50% steadfast on all tanks, I no longer particularly care about fighting a Doomfist.

If I go up against a Doom and he cleans house, there’s no doubt in my mind that he deserved it. The man offers little in the way of base value and you have to know your stuff and execute it well to get anywhere.

Nah, best to leave Doom alone. Especially since there’s a Cassidy buff on the horizon where Mag will turn into a version of FB with a hinder instead of a stun. No need to double tax Doom like that.

S1 Doom made sense. Blizzard just folded and helped the struggling Doom mains who were playing him like a DPS by tuning him way too high up.

Since I was already a tank main, playing Doomfist as a TANK in S1 just came natural to me. He felt good. S2 was when he got over-buffed and the Doom mains claimed he was balanced. That should tell you enough right there.

Just like they reverted Queen back to beta state, they need to do the same to Doomfist and stop listening to these copers.

That’s okay though, at least it’s on a very short CD and can sun people out of ults like launch Brig, but with way more range and damage.

…for 0.2 seconds to cancel an Ultimate. So fine, it’s every 4.2 seconds. Feel better?

From that picture it looks like that Doom is at death’s door and trying to squeeze as much ult charge as he can get from a 1v5 after a lost team fight or something. Yes, you guys got stunned while trying to finish him off. It didn’t look like it actually mattered, though.

Multi-stuns only happen if you charge him up while blocking and/or don’t interrupt the block. Even in games of QP, I don’t see an awful lot of multi-stuns going on.

I’m eye-balling the T500 leaderboards and I don’t really see an awful lot of Doom icons. My impression is that most of the Doom icons have been replaced by Winstons. And the post-midseason, pre-hotnerf Hog can’t be the cause because there’s now a double digit number of Ram icons. Hog-Ram is usually a brutal matchup for everybody’s favourite boxing robot, and Hog was gatekeeping Ram before the hotnerf.

It doesn’t look like a skill issue to me.

I think you’re missing the point of the pictures.

The fact that he has the potential to have that generous of a stun is absolutely bonkers.

His punch hitbox is way too forgiving. It’s less of a skillshot than firestrike, but it has a lower cooldown and can cancel ults.

Potential doesn’t matter when you can outright deny him that stun most of the time. Pharah and Junkrat have great potential to do AoE damage with just regular attacks if all enemies squeeze together for a group hug, but that doesn’t matter because nobody squeezes together for a group hug, outside of truly exceptional circumstances such as getting snagged by a Zarya ult in a relatively tight map.

Sure, but he can still do this with a fraction of the charge. He doesn’t even need to be hit to still get a stun from punch.

If he doesn’t get charged up then it’s single target, right? In which case it’s not all that remarkable. Lord knows I’d rather face some punchbot than have that tank go Hog and yank me directly into his team.

There’s been too many changes to the game since then to make that okay. Cc reduction on tanks and increased health points are the obvious things to point to in this.

Ram, Horsey, and Hog are all better than Doom this season. So is Monkey and Demented Grandpa.

This seems more like a personal gripe than an actual balance discussion.
