Doom buffs not enough?

Doom is finally getting a buff, thats something so , his cooldowns got a buff instead of 7 7 4 now is 6 6 4, ok thats a pretty decent buff, i see what they did here, they are not buffing any abilities or dmg they are just making him a more consistent hero and making him like a little survival tank , but is this enough??? So what i still dont get is why not get his E abilitiy back , the uppercut 3 sec to .6 thats an ok nerf cause on the other side taht was annoying , but limiting his ability to get out of difficult situations , that just bad , his ultimate is pretty much useless at this point , because they complain about his ult being too easy to kill slow walking heros or a free kill (ZEN,ANA,SYM,MCREE etc.) but then we have ults like Riptire and blade that pretty much guarantee you at least a kill and for me those are easier than meteor strike like i can bet that 90% of the time u will get a kill with rip tire or genjis blade , when u hear ā€œFIRE IN THE HOLEā€ u know at least one of ur teammates is dead its a freekill , and lets not talk about the range on the riptire HOLY CRAP , and doom has an ult that even a torb turret can move out of the way, its sad to see this hero like this, Im not saying that these buffs are awful, actually these buffs are gonna make doom a more fast and fluid hero . So for me probably get his ult a little buff or at least make it last longer, and out of all the nerfs PLS make his E come back :slight_smile:

I think his ult can have its range and speed back maybe. It isnt free kill anymore

They partially reverted the Slam CC, it doesnt pull them anymore but it removes any momentum they had so they cant just walk away (similar to Flashbang)

Has for the ult, yeah it needs tweaking

I think the only change he needs is to his ult. Basically everything else got buffed.

the E now pulls people in like before.

i think the loss in slam range is sad but i’m interested to see how much uptime he has now his cooldowns are slightly reduced. Add to that the knockback fixes and he’s probably going to be fine imo.

Ult needs a buff, that’s about it. Slam range sucks still but the current direction they’re taking with the cooldowns is going to let him stay in fights longer. I think that will make him a better hero overall rather than a glass cannon assassin.

No doom is fine for now, we dont need a another doom meta.

He is fine. Maybe make his ult land faster, but overall he’s okay. Even cooldown reduction might have done the trick.

Believe me… Good DF player is totally insane with these changes.

The Ult needs a rework.

Its satellite cannon nature is the problem. Not being able to fight back feels bad. So they gave it a stop-gap nerf to make it look like they added more counter plays but nothing really changed, except making it worse offensively.

Its a glorified get out of jail free card and buffing right now, may make it OP.

The only way to make it fair for all, is to remove its satellite cannon nature. So it can be buffed offensively.

The comparisons with Blade or Tire don’t hold much water. Neither Junk nor Genji vanish from the battlefield when they Ult, and Junk’s can be destroyed as well. The changes ā€œhelpedā€, sort of, but now meteor strike can be dodged by walking, which isn’t cool either. The ult needs some harsh tweaking, that’s clear enough.

Slam is actually better now on PTR thanks to the knockback changes, despite Blizzard’s claim that they would reduce CC, they seem to be adding more of it.

I think we should wait and see how these changes work out.

It’s basically suicide using your ult offensively in it’s current state, and it was just like that before. Nothing changed there, he’s still insanely vulnerable after landing. But now there is 0 use offensively, as it’ll probably only deal 100 dmg instead of 200 before you get instantly deleted

His ult needs a complete rework. Doesn’t matter how weak the ult is, it has no counterplay cos of it’s nature. An ult like that shouldn’t be in the game

They wanna slowly ease him back into the game,

In the right hands even pre PTR/Buff DF is still a massive threat, I can’t blame them for taking it slow on this one.

Im happy to see him making a return if anything.

It doesnt matter how often do you get to use an underwhelming skill, it is underwhelming. Seismic slam needs its range back, nothing else.

his lack/reduction in cc can stay, his hilariously bad ult can stay, all i and other doomfist mains really want is the 20m range on his slam

but these reduction in cooldowns by a second are very nice. i think we shall have to play him for a month or so to see how viable doomfist really is before we decide to buff him a little more

as a Doomfist player
this is a good buff
all I want right now is to fix his bugs like when I punch someone he slide on the wall and other bugs like when I slam the ground the don’t get hit at all
and buff his ult
because I only use it now to run away
