It doesnā€™t matter. Aiming is aiming.

If itā€™s an FPS game, then it literally does not matter in the slightest. You get used to it.

When Halo became massively competitive through Halo 2 and Halo 3, they didnā€™t really have aim assist. Halo CE might have had it, but they definitely do not have it anymore.

Ok, gonna play on console, exclusively do crossplay into the PC ladder, and use both a mouse and keyboard along with aim assist.

yes but only with zim which is a cheat just like a hack or aimbot

we shouldnt go against a better system with no aid at all. end.

A mouse may be better for aiming but that doesnt mean all mouse users are better than all controller users at doing so. A mouse user will be beaten by a controller user with similar aim skill due to the advantage of aim assist which isnā€™t very fair.

The only other way to create parity would be to allow aim assist to be enabled when playing with a mouse which isnā€™t something PC players would want as it would reduce the impact of raw skill thatā€™s required. PC players just donā€™t like the idea of artificial advatages.

Just because itā€™s a better system doesnt mean everyone playing it is better than you on your controller. Iā€™m sure even people in Diamond struggle with tracking because not every hero is created equally, and people still play Tracer more than they do Soldier

The last couple of days have shown diamond players using controllers are not at the same level as diamond players with a mouse.

You really think the match making is going to be able to handle that?

Crossplay with PC is blizzard throwing a monkey wrench into an already rotting match making system.

I agree with you, but the problem is PC players donā€™t have an opt-out button. If they get an opt-out then Iā€™m sure Blizzard could implement this without any trouble.

As a pc player myself, I feel like this is just stupid. Taking away console players only chance of facing pc players is a wrong move on blizzards behalf. Console players simply canā€™t keep up with people with potentially 2 to 4 times the fps. The removal of aim assist simply digs this grave deeper. As a keyboard and mouse player it is simply unfair that we get to use out arm to play, whist console/controller players are stuck with this joystick.

I hope blizzard patch this in the coming updates.

Ye like have 60% that would be better than nothing. I asked many of my console friends and they are willing to accept such a offer

Aim assist with a mouse??? It is way harder to aim with a tiny joystick than it is to use your full arm and aim with a mouse
