the whole discussion has been about how they can implement 6 players again without the adverse effects it had before that led them to consider 5v5 in the first place…
so thankfully theyre exploring and not simply using the community’s “just go back to 6v6” logic

If you were a gm tank and wanted to play dps you literally had to swap accounts otherwise youd literally be throwing trying to play dps in GM lobbies. Also you wouldnt want to do that anyway cus it would just tank your sr
You literally had to have a dps only account so you could go play dps at a separate mmr and losing on that didnt effect your main rank
Thats what 1 shared rank across all roles means and why we went to role specific ranking
You cant play other roles without being matched into your peak rank and it effecting your overall sr as a result
Thats why streamers often had like 5 different accounts back then and now you barely see anyone smurf because if you wanna play dps you just go queue dps and it not effect your other ranks

If the only balance changes they’re making to tanks is lowering health, this will fail.
The devs can’t be so bad at their jobs that they think that balances tanks.

It’s max 3 min 1, meaning you can’t do triple of two roles
You can triple one role, double another, but you have to have at least one of everything

Smurfs are incredibly selfish and just don’t care as long as they get what they want. Which was to roflstomp lower lobbies, just because they were hardstuck where they were belonged. Nothing more than egotistical narcissists.

You’re missing the point if you think people wanted 6v6 just to have a sixth player. People liked 6v6 because of 2-2-2. I don’t want to solo heal or solo tank for a bunch of selfish people who instantlock DPS every game. I don’t want to play against three tanks either.

I’m asking about consequences (of course, it’s QP but if the 6V6 is back in competitive mode) :
About the “minimum 1, maximum 3” :
-if we have 3 tanks (reinhardt, Zarya and Dva) and 2 supports (moira Lucio), it means we have to play Mei or Sombra to play like the competitive one ?
-3 DPS, 2 supports and one tank ? I’m forcing to play with bad teamates everytime ?
-If the last one is the tank and the player is an support player, games will be unfun, right ?
-I wonder about the balance, actually
About the 2-2-2 :
-Reinhardt and Ramattra, Brigitte and Baptiste, Widowmaker and Bastion will be fun…
-Double shield will be fun…
-Hog and Ball will be fun…
About the 5V5 maximum 2 roles :
-If the last one is the tank and the player is an support player, games will be unfun, right ?
-I’m wonder about the tank role, if their HP is nerfed, tank will be unfun
-2 tanks, 1 DPS and 2 supports, DPS will be fun…

Overall the problem will be : more creativity, more unfun games for any players who doesn’t play on their best role (or players who hates playing tank/support/DPS)

how is exactly going back to 6v6 bad? It was the baseline for what was considered good before 5v5 messed the things up and any common sense would suggest to start balancing from the last good state instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.
