What about the 100 hero missions that were ready when blizzconline happened?
Did you lie on those too? Y’all are full of trash

it’s going to be the same old BS, but even worse. What is always taken for granted is the directives of the owners which, fine for them, but not us. ‘You can expect the beatings to continue until morale improves.’
So much optimism from the early days of Overwatch and even before in the comments of old cinematics.
I watched the Overwatch 2 Zero Hour cinematic and the comments are so optimistic, thinking Overwatch 2 would revive the franchise. It’s just depressing man.
Do the morally right thing, you and your Exec Producer both, and Resign. Hand in your notice and let someone who actually sees the game for more than a cash cow take the reins.
You’ve failed as a Game Director to allocate and manage resources, you’ve also failed as a Rep for the OW IP to do literally ANYTHING in good faith for the OW community and the players.
Here’s a tip: don’t do that. Never promise what you can’t deliver. Each and every time I’ve said “I can make a simple Overwatch clone in a weekend.” its because I know I can. It wouldn’t be super polished, but it would be enough to show people “Yeah, this is the bones of a hero shooter.”, and I’m a solo developer.
Blizzard, a massive and yet beleaguered company, somehow couldn’t manage a game well enough so they could promise realistic promises, and deliver on those promises. What’s worse, they got the community to buy skins and battle passes in hopes that it would fund things like the PVE. We lost Overwatch 1 for what amounts to shop update, less content, and more frustration.
Honestly, I think its over.
No, my point is you aren’t on the right of things just because you aren’t criticizing Blizzard. You say
I say you’re rolling over. You’re allowing Blizzard to do what they do, and get away with it. When they take more things from you, you’ll be there to roll over again. Am I right? Who knows. We’ll just have to see when the next controversy rolls around.
Also
You saying “you won’t lose sleep over this” is clearly an attempt at an insult. You’re telling me I’m overreacting, so you might as well not back off of it now. You’re taking the attitude of “its not that deep, and you’re wrong for thinking it is”. I disagree, I think this is a pretty big controversy.
Well, that would mean they would have taken community feedback, have put more ressources on the dev team, have led to less team departures and long story short, we’d probably have a full OW2 experience with fully fledged PVE game already.
Boy, theory is such a beautiful country
I can’t decide if Jeff is on a beach somewhere howling or if he’s shaking his head with a tear falling into his whiskey
It is genuinely impressive just how badly this game has been fumbled. Like i cant say anything else about it that hasn’t already been said, two years of zero content and next to no communication, rushing OW.5 out unfinished with less content than OW1.
Between HoTS, Reforged, and now this, its insane how desperate the company wants to suicide their own games.
I’d love for him to open up and respond to this. I’d love to have his take.
A few suggestions going forward
Bottom line is it’s understandable that the original vision of PVE was too large to implement mostly due to the game having too many characters but it’s vital you don’t abandon the ideas of talents/customization. Find a way to implement on smaller scales at least.
Sure there is, 12 - 18 months ago, before the games release and to stop the Forum Mods/Game masters from lying and maintaining the veil.
Also, anyone notice they didn’t mention Jeff Kaplan even once in that entire word salad of nonsense?
this game is literally dead after season 6, what you offer is just better archive missions in exchange for -1 tank, shop and battlepass.
I really don’t blame you guys no one would make that decission if it wasn’t necessary the thing is you /activision just might not be aware of consequences of that decission yet.
They need to stop letting analystis and the “industry standard” determine what goes on and start forging their own paths with creative freedom.
Like, fully disclose his thoughts.
He is probably disgusted more so than any of us to what has happened to this franchise
Yall some slow lying turtles.
There is no much future when all you do is update the shop and drop some hero here n there which is also either broken, unfun or unfitting .
The OG devs are gone and its very visible.
I know… it’s the first game that “resonates” that much for me. It’s a part of my life literally.
And now, it’s making me depressed.
tf is wrong with turtles?
why old skins including event and weekly challenge still extremely expensive?
i don’t want OW2 new skin cuz that prices is insane, but why is so hard to get old skins too?
OW1 become to OW2 almost everything getting worse…
