im comin! oooooo im comin. im gonna getcha. here i come, now. im gonna getcha
Is this drugs?
Is this what drugs look like?
I don’t see how this is not criminal? The Hero Mode and Talents are the literal only reason I decided to start playing again and collecting skins.
I hope someone brings a class action against them because this is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when he mentions how it was canceled before the release of Overwatch 2. The management behind Overwatch are snake oil salesman. Thats the Blizzard Polish nowadays. They polish their products with lies and constantly overselling stuff they will never actually do.
Screw this game
What did you expect to happen after 4 years of completely radio silence, you just showed up and said “lol it was too hard, so we dipped, peace”. We don’t even know what happened. You don’t seem to understand the entire fan base are in this as much as you guys did. We suffered content drought for 4 freaking years, yet your fans believed in you to revive this game. It is not up to you just bail on us like that. We can’t allow those 4 years down the drain, even if there is no definitive date to drop PVE content I’m sure a lot of folks here are willing to wait because to us it is worth it.
There’s any chance that we can see at least the hero missions in the future?
After season 6…?
lalalalalala ima getcha. im oiled up and ima use this whole yard as a slip and slide to get you, boi.
would you trust bliz if they said “yes?”
personally I’m never believing another word until i see the results with my eyes FIRST
I appreciate the communication. And look, I say this as someone who tries to remain empathetic and understanding.
I appreciate the apology. But I’m not…accepting of it, anymore. I’ve had to remain patient and essentially compromise constantly when I play Overwatch 2 as it is. The fact that this was scrapped makes me feel like all of my patience and compromise was for nigh.
I’m tired. I’m tired of this team over-promising and under-delivering. It’s happened so many times and this was the final nail in the coffin for me. I stomached the horrific monetization, unrewarding battle pass, and the most idiotic balancing we’ve seen in a long time because I was holding out hope for PvE. The fact that it took this long when you knew last year that this wasn’t going o be possible is disgusting.
I can’t forgive the team for that, and I simply cannot allow myself to partake in a game developed by dishonest people. Your apology falls short when your actions show that you’ve meant none of it. You starved OW1 for years because we believed it was because of this. Then you released OW2 PvP because we believed it was because of the PvE. You have lied multiple times.
So, while I appreciate the accountability and I appreciate being direct with owning up to the failings here…I don’t accept it. I don’t accept the apology and I feel like the entirety of this is a slap in the face for what you’ve put the playerbase through for years.
This team sure did “redefine sequels”. You’ve led to a historic and “redefining” failure. And no, I do not pin it solely on you. I believe your higher-ups are jackasses (particularly your CEO) and I think you’re making promises, again, that you cannot keep because of them. Stop it.
The problem is that you have zero credibility. Nobody believes a word you say anymore because you’ve done nothing but gaslight the entire community for years.
You clearly still don’t understand just how badly you’ve messed up with OW2. Nobody wants to hear your explanations we want you to do your job and fix the damn game you broke with a pointless “sequel.”
I expected nothing and I was served exactly that. I have no words. I really want to love this game again, but T4 is on a mission to do everything they can to get rid of their customers and loyal fans, and they’re being successful.
Y-yeah, but does Thrall have a cool $200 legendary Zeus skin?
Yeah, didn’t think so. Pfft.
(But for real though, good points. WoW does this easily, and they could’ve shaved OW’s talent trees to be more akin to Cata-era WoW ones, and people would’ve been fine. As long as we’d have gotten the cool ability customizations.)
So are we just not going to talk about how it was blasted everywhere PvE was still coming with the Watchpoint Pack Purchase that me and several others picked up because PvE Was still coming. It was stated on the Battle.net launcher in the Road maps. You knew by launch time this wasn’t coming how is this not Illegal?
nice try, but there aint an emoji this side of the west that could deliver you from my sogged up man breast based retribution, fridge head fred. i am sliding at you downhill at 35 mph holding a wireless keyboard as we speak. africa, i have hold of you now.
That’s the thing that pisses me off.
They knew a year ago and they kept promising PvE, saying delays happened because they were developing PvE, and then now we know they KNEW THIS WHEN THEY MADE THE PROMISES.
Apologies mean nothing if it comes from people you cannot trust.
omg youre a leatherback sea turtle
I see. We’re now at the stage of throwing Jeff Kaplan under the bus. Charming.
But you know the funniest part?
Watching you recycle the same old line you’ve been using since 2020.
“We’re excited about this direction and we can’t wait for you to finally get to experience what we’ve been building.”
You MUST think the playerbase are the worst kind of idiots.
I just find it ironic that a team that started off as an mmo team couldn’t put together a pve experience with talent trees and hero progression. A small indie company called Blizzard that has no other pve driven experiences under their belt. sure thing, Jan.
I am not gonna read it…cause I woud not trust a word of it. Why anyone would trust it?
In an interview in September 2022 the General Manager literally said their staff size had tripled what it was in 2016, and the RTO policy that lost staff was April this year, something which they’ve said didn’t cause it so I really don’t know how this can be an excuse for it all
It is the execs fault tho yeah
