im kinda with first reply though…
if youve been watching…teams have slowly been starting to run winston/zarya even before these changes…so sure the changes might change things…but the teams have already been doing that on their own…

hero pools for large part have been done away with…theyve been running them only during non-tournaments…which is only like 2 weeks at a time for like past 3-4 months since they started doing tournaments (which dont use them at all)
when i say theyve been using winston/zarya its WITHOUT hero pools

The causal player doesn’t care about the balance of this game.
That’s what makes them casual players.

It’s been obvious for years that Blizzard dont want the game to be balanced and if anything have designed deliberate imbalance into the game. Saying that this isn’t the case is just burying your head in the sand.

look the whole “exciting to watch come playoffs thing”…“OWL needs to be exciting”…thats been a thing since day one…they dont want a boring product…and you wouldnt want one either if youre in their shoes…
perhaps youre reading way too much into it…WE…the majority of people playing the game…ALSO dont want the game to be boring…if they want to make the game more exciting…im all for it

They keep half of the games in Hero Pools because it would have been the same meta the whole time just swapping between Echo/Tracer/Genji.

I feel like you guys are reading too much into it
They want to make a meta people don’t find boring. From what I can tell, most everyone finds double shield to be boring, whether it’s a pro player or your average gold player.
