Yeah new encryption going to be added to the game. So to decrypt is going to need adjusting. You already included new encryption 2 times in updates and then quickly reverted. We already know…

Actually never worry about bans personally because try not to be toxic but do bite back now and again, also don’t believe people who say they get banned for nothing since I’ve never been banned or muted from any game in 20 years.
Good. Actually, great to monitor cheating and strengthen reporting.
But until BLIZZARD SUPPORT has real human staff to respond to appeals for any unfair or automatic bans, it will all be useless and will scare people ofr own microphone.
It hasn’t happened to me, but I find the idea of having ZERO assistance in the event of an unfair loss of my account due to some fanatic in the mood for easy reporting scary.

Console K&M user are banned from competitive and are restricted to PC pool.
Haven’t played much in the past few weeks (finished BP), but I have my doubts. Guess we’ll see tomorrow.

50 bucks says that this “quality of life” means that pressing tab completely disables mouse input from registering in the game itself, which means I will 100% want to turn it off, but they won’t have an option for it because its Blizzard.

I hope whatever anti-cheat they implement doesn’t cause problems and can actually differentiate between harmless software and cheat software.
I’m not sure I trust Blizzard to implement something that doesn’t start banning everyone using Razer software again, or when doing something like opening task manager or the windows snipping tool. If this happens, these players will remain banned since Blizzard’s report and suspension system is entirely automated and they flat out ignore any attempts to appeal and then blacklist you so you can never try again.
I wish they’d hire real people to review reports and suspensions.

500,000 cheaters banned and 500,000 new accounts created in the same day. Until defence matrix does something about the fake phone number websites and 10 minute emails there is no hope for the cheating to end.

i log on hoping thats not the case and yea i got in of course since i have never cheated. still i get a prompt!!! and im like wth…
it just says “GIFT RECEIVED!!”
im like… ok what gift… apparently its 1 free day game time in world of warcraft but i dont know why it would tell me inside overwatch lol… at least i think thats what the gift is

That’s cool and all but can you talk about how “Defense Matrix” has completely murdered any sort of social interaction in this game because everyone is playing in fear, since god forbid if they say “peepee poopoo” their account can get perma banned by an easily abusable report system, that is completely ran by A.I.
And a support team that’s ALSO ran by A.I and doesn’t see anything wrong when they send back the chat logs that just has a dude saying the F word a couple times with no malice intent?

I’ve had my criticism about the DM system but honestly, this update sounds very promising! I love the idea of reporting/adjusting volume through the scoreboard, like as a console player that’s huge
There’s always been the choice between “do I afk, navigate the menu and report ASAP to help the system? Or do I wait for a death? What if I take 3 minutes to die, is my report not as valuable if the player stopped doing the bad thing?”
