“adjust individual volume for each player’s voice”

Nice!

The other big one in this article for me is:

“we will be restricting access to the Hide My Name features of Streamer Protect for those who don’t have the Unrelenting Hero challenge completed, which requires winning 1,750 games of Overwatch in any game mode”

That’s really nice actually.

choom already 90% dont use your communication tools, with insta report with how bad your report system is good luck,

no one sane is going to turn on your chat systems.

also stop using defense matrix as name for whatever you are doing, its giving dva mains a bad name.

except defense matrix has NEVER worked properly honestly smurfing should be counted as hard core cheating and i already know how easily the report system can be abused

Not digging the new hide my name feature being made unavailable till 1750 wins, Overwatch has been so much better for me since that was added and have never had to worry about nonsense being into the next match just because I didn’t heal them enough or live up to certain standards where as before would wait like five minutes and hope to not match with them again.

You’ll only get them the moment the patch drops or half an hour later. :pensive:

Great stuff!

Some people in the CCC aren’t going to be happy.

ya they need to reduce that, also its probably reduced their name change 10$ sales thats why.

my main accounts just barely pass it over by a hundred or more with around 700 hrs on them.

All in all Fantastic read.

Here is a summary for those who want to save time

Today, we’re pleased to announce we have banned over 500,000 accounts that have been found to be cheating. We have also suspended or banned over 40,000 accounts that intentionally group up with cheating accounts as well.

We’re hard at work on new anti-cheat technologies and looking forward to stopping cheats in their tracks.

We have new details on improving the reporting and social features in-game to share. We’re adding a new feature to the Scoreboard, where you can now directly regulate the text chat or voice chat of any of your teammates and opponents. .

Ximming detection for console players

You’ll be able to directly mute the text chat or voice chat of any of your teammates, opponents, or yourself, plus adjust individual volume for reach player’s voice. You’ll also have a quick two-click button to file an instant report for any disruptive player in your match.

A lot of the time players who are disruptive or like to cheat are often on relatively newer accounts with very little play time. Our Streamer Protect tools are intended for our long-standing players and content creators who don’t want to be targeted by disruptive players to ruin their games. With this in mind, we will be restricting access to the Hide My Name features of Streamer Protect for those who don’t have the Unrelenting Hero challenge completed, which requires winning 1,750 games of Overwatch in any game mode.

defense matrix can’t find trolls though…

Being able to mute people directly from the scoreboard’s a quality of life thing I’ve wanted for ages. Nice.

DM doesn’t help there because trolls use melee weapons.

Sooooo still gonna be highly abusable? Cool cool. Just mute all your chats guys, because even then, you’re still gonna upset a group of kids who mass report you when you stomp them, and once that happens a few times, you are gonna log in to a suspended/muted account, even IF you are able to overturn it…
