Deadlock leaked gameplay it's raining hero shooters

I wonder if people will complain anyway. If they do, then it was never the one shot that was the problem, just the perceived unfairness of the match up.

Not everyone will like it cause they are all different games.

What is good is to have a lot of hero shooters which is healthy competition.

That U.I. is somehow more vomit inducing than Overwatch. I hope it doesn’t stay like that on release

It’s probably even earlier builds than current and current is alpha.
Ui certainly needs improvement and looks unfinished.

Obviously our overwatch cc will lead the way even if others forget, samito already made a patch list for rivals😂

That’s what happens when moron Blizzard decides to step out of the market they literally could have permanently owned.

the game is literally a third person moba like smite

Even if the game was as similar as possible to OW, people in this community would invent any excuse to maintain the discourse that “every game of the genre is an exact copy of OW, but OW is unique, completely original and there is no game that tries to compete with it” despite being very contradictory

Games like these come out all the time but people tend to denigrate and avoid them

Looks good. Kinda reminds me more of a magical version of the Fortnite game than it does of Overwatch so it won’t be something I can picture myself getting deep into. I do like the Gargoyle creature and its abilities though!

Looks like a complicated moba-like hero shooter. Hard pass, as I do not have the patience to learn how MOBAs work and therefore refuse to enjoy them.

Good thing about Overwatch is the fact they have braindead heroes who allow you to completely turn off your brain and relax a bit.

Mercy alone is the reason OW has the success it had.

She allowed the 36 y/o banker lady, who never touched a game in her life, to hit Diamond because she held down right click for her soldier/cass main, struggling to find a job, long term boyfriend, who will never commit cause “he doesn’t want the government in their business”.

The gameplay looks interesting but kinda chaotic, it looks team based but it’s not clear how players are coordinating, and with the open map layouts with everyone zipping around wherever they please it seems more like a free for all than strategic objective based fighting. Maybe it plays differently than it looks, I’d have to try to see. The third-person tack akin to Rivals still seems awkward to me, I guess it’s useful for more melee style gameplay but still just odd looking.

That said, the aesthetic looks pretty bland and generic Western steampunk-fantasy, doesn’t have nearly the level of universally appealing bright futuristic charm of Overwatch. I’d have to see the final product but on that count alone it’s down the ladder from what I’d want to play.

It’s not like as many people here in OW care about facing Ashe as they do Widow. If Widow was sadly disabled due to a game-breaking bug, yes, some people would make posts about Ashe on Havana, CR, etc. - but not nearly to the same extent.

Who knows if Vindicta is going to end up more as an Ashe than a Widow what with the video being (understandably) bare-bones and the game being early in development. But if Vindicta’s more like Ashe then that’s a big plus in my book.

its not its a hybrid taking bits from everything, both moba , heroshooter , arenashooter mobility etc

and it used to look a lot closer to fortnite when it was neon prime, but they then scrapped those aesthetics and went for 1940s

i’ve reached the age where i enjoy more singleplayer chill games and less sweaty tryhard competitive games, i only play ow2 and cs from time to time now because i had already formed the habit during the years when i liked competitive gaming

no competitive game piques my interest anymore

TF2 actually is really bad without sniper. Heavy, Demo, and Soldier are quite literally unstoppable. Heavy’s dominance in particular completely shifts the game in a far worse direction.

We are only in this mess because A: bots are impossible to stop, B: Spy had been ignored in multiple game-changing patches before he got multiple weapons nerfed in Jungle Inferno, and C: Sniper has the worst designed secondary unlocks in the game.

Also please don’t reference shounic’s experiment. Even he admitted that it was objectively a poor experiment.

Then feel free to checkout these indie shooters

Rhythm beat shooter with your own songs

Titanfall meets doom kinda game

This is a platform grapple shooter that’s also titanfallish

Then this 31st selaco is releasing it’s made using gzdoom engine but looks great and feels like fear insipired

looks like garbage. i’ll stick with OW

To be entirely honest this looks more like competition to Marvel Rivals and Paladins with a Fortnite sauce. It does not seem targetted at all towards being a competitor to OW.

Third person → straight into the trash
Focused on abilities rather than pure, basic FPS mechanics at its core → straight into the trash
Weird rail stuff → trash

In summary, OW will still fill the niche it currently does and a serious competitor is still nowhere to be seen.

It looks like a straight moba

Are those not towers/bases on minimap with the different paths headed to each?

if you are currently not happy with how overwatch’s direction is going and it’s current state. If you are not just having fun anymore.
One of the reasons could be that the developers of overwatch not had any real competition so far rested on their laurels for too long. They are just taking a lot of risk because there are no consequences, experimenting around with the game without having to fear them.
So this is your ultimate chance to try out other games that serve the same needs for a first person moba hero shooter and more importantly, send out a signal. In the end it can only improve your gameplay experience.

It’s hybrid there was already game like this Monday night combat.

Was watching Tyler McVicker’s compilation of leaked footage and saw this youtube comment which pretty-much sums up my feelings about this game so far:

How does this simultaneously look really interesting and really boring at the same time?

It’s genuinely confusing.

Idk, maybe if the abilities are cool, maybe I will try it.

Also, if the games is good, holy Gadunka, a new whole market for cosmetics/keys, etc. CS/TF2 traders now what I’m talking about, it’s really another new market.

If they game is good, probably will kill about 40% of the hardcore TF2 playerbase.
