"dead game" 95k live viewers

Doesn’t rly matter how many of those are AFK’s, because that’s still a person who plays the game

I taught it had 40 million players, if only 95 000 watch its not very much

True, but that’s down from near 200k viewers.

I think it’s pretty clear that even for OWL tokens people are tired of tuning in for GOATS, GOATS, GOATS.

It was 85k yesterday.

Also if they cared about the ppl who plays, the game wouldn’t have been in this state.

let me remind you they axed the matchmaking in QP and the arcade. Why would anyone even do that if there are so many players?

it also matters how often one plays. I have switched from few hours a day to once a week when there is no event.

But its ow league…

The daily playing streamers should get this game to 100k views but that aint happening anymore.

people farming tokens dont count dear :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think viewers on a owl stream really says anything about the game.

Like I don’t watch OWL at all, or twitch for that matter, but I still play the game 4-9 hours per day.

Yeah that definitely doesn’t mean anything.

Unless I absolutely need tokens for something (i.e. the Lucio skin or Dance Party emote), that’s the only time I turn on OWL, and even then, it’s just to farm. I usually go play something else while it runs.

Been getting back into Oblivion. Fun times.

I don’t know about that. People who are AFK aren’t exactly watching the advertisements. I would though that the companies who are paying for advertisement or sponsorship would be up in arms over the majority of their viewers not watching. If I were those companies I would want to know how of those viewers are actually watching the stream.

How active a gave is usually determine by concurrent active players not. The stream doesn’t say how many players at given time are playing OW nor the number of active players.

So, that’s, what, 60-70k who are just idling for tokens and don’t care about the match?

OWL has, and will only ever be bad for this game and it’s long-term success.

It’s obvious why they did that. The queue times were increasing due to the decreasing population. Removing the match maker would allow for faster queue times, which would mask the decreasing population.

Only because of OWL.

Outside of that, the highest viewer is around 800, and then it keeps dropping.

yall act like other games do that much better…oh hey fortnite is at 200k…out of how many active players? welp…guess everything on twitch is dead then…

Except fortnite doesn’t need an esport to be watched.

neither do 99% of the games on there…whats the point?

The point is, shoving something in the throat of your playerbase won’t make them accept it.

pretty meaningless point seeing as how nothing is being forced on anyone…i would be willing to bet the vast majority of the playerbase doesnt even know this “forced” league is currently running

what else is generating the views if it is not it? Everyone is just “watching” for the tokens.

During OWWC it barely gets 25k views.

not sure how that equates to dead game…all that says to me is noone really cares about OWWC…

noone watches minor league baseball…so i guess that means noone cares about baseball?

and coming from someone who would like to watch OWWC…i never even know when its on…you know…cause theyre forcing esports on me so much

if the game was dead there wouldn’t even be 10k watching overwatch league

more and more teams are joining owl, if its not profitable why do more teams join? they’re wasting money
