Cycle out the oldest avoid player when adding a new one

I get it, we cant have more than 3 avoid slots because the games population is too small and wed all have exacerbated wait times with only a couple more.

How about letting us add players to our avoid slots, even when its full, but it bumps out whichever the oldest avoided player is?

Maybe put a text [player name] has been removed in the chat box, so if you REALLY want to keep that one blocked you can easily right click the name and re-add them.

But this way if theres a new player you want to add, you dont have to go into the social tab, figure out which player you want to remove, remove them, go back to the new player you want to avoid, and avoid them. You just add them, and it cycles the list.

Love this idea however, seeing as it would improve the games experience, it will not happen.

I spend so much time managing that stupid list for map skipping. And then you forget to clean out a player and you get the dreaded warning you can’t add any more and have to scramble to remove one, add another and get out of the game before the assembly timer runs out.

Please do as OP suggests.

This is an obvious implementation and has been requested many times back in the days of OW1. Too complicated for them

They could always fix the root of the problem which is putting players back into a game they just left but now with the assembly timer over so they can’t leave again. Obviously they didn’t want to play that game - they left already - so aren’t going to put much effort into it if they get put back in.

Why is something so simple so hard for team4 to do? It kind of feels like sheer incompetence at this point.

This is kinda unrelated but don’t you hate it when you avoid someone and the next game they perform a generational Cristiano Ronaldo 2014 Champions league performance the next game

Would be a great quality of life change.

Literally why i want it.

Honestly I’d prefer more avoid slots because I don’t mind longer queue times since they’re already fairly long, probably wouldn’t see the difference.

Especially when on alt accounts in lower ranks there’s just not enough avoid slots for all the horrible players.

Also let us avoid full teams when we are on it.

it’s too hard to code for them, they need something easier that requires less resources

True lol

The devs are so bad that they can’t figure out how to do it programmatically
good devs have already left the company

It’s funny because it’s true. But we didn’t get more slots even when the population was still big. What was it, like 2018 when the feature was added?

They’d really improve the experience by letting people leave when its a blatantly obvious unwinnable match as well but that’s too much to ask for.

I don’t think I’ve ever won against someone I avoided. But in my defense I never get my chance at revenge against the obvious derankers and new accounts. It’s always just the class B avoids who I wasn’t all that sure about.

this would be a great change, i’m all for it

Supposedly it still is. 100 million accounts according to blizzard.

I can’t help but be amused at how often I see the same faces every day. Obviously a sign that these are totally the closest players to play against skill wise- which apparently ranges from Silver to T500 in my QP matches.

No. This is great actually. If someone gets dced, it give them a chance to finish the game. And chronic leavers are funny. So nothing is better than a loser leaving a game, just to requeue back to the same lobby.
