In season 5 i was banned because i disconnected from the server 3 times so i was banned. later in the Summer games event i was banned from Copa Lucio Ball, understandably. But I wasn’t banned in any season past that and i can’t play Copa Lucio Ball because “Unable to play while Suspended or banned”. I really want to give Copa Lucio Ball a try.
how many total seasonal bans did you get (including arcade comp modes), if it’s a total of 3 or more, you’re most likely comp banned not season banned, if it’s less than 3 or you can still play normal comp while copa lucioball is locked, then yeah, it should be a bug
The only season i was banned in was season 5 and i can still play normal comp.
mmh that’s weird, then I guess either blizzard or the server didn’t remove the ban for your season 5 ban 
instead of posting it here you could try contacting blizzard to hopefully fix this issue
me too, i’m in the same situation
same to you, you could try contacting blizzard because maybe arcade comp modes have issues resetting the bans since they happen like once a year
