Read what that was in response to, they were talking about how people saying they had constant 4+ Dps was an exaggeration
??? Not really sure what you want from me, buddy.
OPâŚare you slow? like did you not know that Role lock was going to cause this?
The playerbase also complained for years about mutli DPS comps and how it hurt the experience, not to mention how QP was practically useless for learning how to play your character in a proper setting.
It is also DIRECTLY correlated to the DPS community getting tanks and supports gutted to the point where people would rather play DPS.
DPS players made their bed man. You have no one else to blame but yourselves.
So that makes it OK for people to way up to an hour in queue times? That makes it OK, for people to wait more than they actually play?
Its simple math. There are more of you that want to play the role thus you will have to wait longer. That was always the case. Itâs the most popular role for a reason.
That is not why you are angry. If both teams had 4 dps would you be complaining then? No, what you are really angry about is losing. That is what all this crying is about. People donât like losing and so have to find something to blame. Priceless.
Still not seeing how that makes it OK for people to wait more than they play
Iâm more irritated that I am being made to share the same queue with people who are not as good.
If I am DPS and they are DPS, then I am an economy size can of ravioli and they are a single serve.
They do not deserve to stand beside me, hinder my experience and call themselves the same.
Itâs math. You canât beat that with your feelings. Itâs a problem you all created.
Math explains why it is happening, not why itâs OK.
Its ok because its math. No getting around it. You want the most popular role you will have to wait. who knows maybe theyâll figure out something in the future.
This is simply NOT true. Blizzard could fix the math by being a smart company and catering to the vast majority of their customers who LIKE DPS. Simple. Make role queue 1 tank 2 healers and 3 dps. This would more than likely reduce queue times drastically.
So when people are dying because there is too many people and too little food, you say âMaThâ and that makes it OK?
There is one, and only one fix: Ban 50% of DPS players. Do you think thatâs a good idea?
I like how people want solutions, but canât bring their own. Thatâs because there is no solution. If 90% of the players want to play DPS, thatâs how it is. Youâll either have games with 5/6 DPS, or long queues. I am happy with the queues.
The playerbase/Devs have spoken that solo tanking is fundamentally unfun. Therefore the answer is no.
Yes, it does. People are always starving for something, and always will be. Some need will always be unfulfilled. And there is no problem with that. Thatâs how reality works.
Itâs not the fault of the playerbase for not enjoying tank/support roles. By design, those roles are meant to be work. Protect your team, set up plays for other people, heal your team, etc as opposed to dealing damage and fragging as your primary objective.
Naturally the majority is going to lean toward the latter, and theyâll sooner quit than adopt new roles. Itâs not because they canât play other roles, itâs simply because we play games either for entertaining or to escape circumstances of reality. Only a masochist plays a game to do more work in life.
The game should be designed around the playerbase and not whatever mathematical balance theyâre trying to obtain. Either that or just close down the game servers and go primary with OWL as a spectator sport. See where that gets you.
Irrelevant. DPS queues are the way they are because there are so many of you vying for 2 spots. Period.
Then you make solo tanking work. It works in WOW and did for years with the same company. They just need to adjust the class.
If they quit, as you say, queue times should have become smaller by now, shouldnât they? Appearently people rather wait 10-15 minutes.
Let Blizzard themselves deal with metrics and numbers, they got people who actually know about this stuff, instead of impulsive kids judging out of whim.
