Commit to what you say you believe in

Make the LGBTQIA+ profile icons and banners show up and are able to be picked in arab countries. Stop being hypocrites and pretending to care about LGBTQIA+ people while censoring them for certain countries.

They can’t because laws prevents them from spreading agendas.

Arabian countries are well within their rights to ban a morally questionable decision. You have the right to be gay. Doesn’t make it a morally good decision in the eyes of their and other religions. I am not taking sides so don’t take this as bashing a choice. People have the right to be happy and be with who they love but then so do countries have the right to stand on their moral beliefs. Fair is fair.

I think other countries should be able to preserve beliefs they have held for years instead of listening to a bunch of people from elsewhere waving a rainbow flag and demanding they change.

Getting the game banned in those countries helps how exactly?

Okay that’s not gonna happen. The game wouldn’t be allowed in those nations. And could create a larger problem. It’s not blizzards responsibility to change to deep seeded religious beliefs of a nation. go talk to the US government about colonizing them if you want to change their culture.

People used the Bible to try to justify slavery as being ā€œmoral.ā€ Every Abrahamic religion(and most religions in general) has been used to justify sexist beliefs and practices. There are some parts of those books that outright need to be ignored to be compatible with modern society, and for most people, they are ignored.

Not when those moral beliefs mean subjugating others.

I think it’s quite hilarious to say that certain ideas are above criticism because they’ve been practiced for ā€œxā€ amount of time. I’ll leave you to think of the logical endpoints and what that can be used to justify.

People do realize it’s not up to blizz right?

It’s kind of funny, because the people that complain about ā€œcolonizationā€ are always the ones wanting to import their beliefs on everyone else.

I dont know the entire slave trade history but that was decided by the people doing it to change.

Yeah even though you are being satirical, I wouldn’t write that. I highly advise to editing or deleting that comment.

Ow another useless topic about how Blizzard should change the world. It’s a game company that delivers entertainment in exchange for money, it’s not some kind of lgb+ crusade to fix all the wrongs in this world.

If you care so much take your flags, book a ticket and go there to change their minds yourself. Until then let Arabs just enjoy the game.

  1. it’s not a decision… Just like being left handed isn’t decision. Just like being allergic to peanuts isn’t a decision. Just like being tall isn’t a decision, and so on…
  2. Being gay isn’t morally good nor it’s morally bad. It’s not an issue of morality!

Its actually not too bad and proves a point, if the arabs decide to change future like the US and whoever did what they did then yes but outside interference shouldnt be a thing is all I’m saying, let the people decide there own fate.
