Chipsa patch notes

I can almost guarantee you, if his patch notes are anything like a certain someone’s own ideas of “the perfect Overwatch ranked patch” – it will kill the game even further, and incredibly biased in his favor

and I don’t even have to read it

I agree with him mostly. I have always though that he has good takes when it comes to game balance.

Cringe fist main calling widow maker cringe. XD

So his solutions for supports are basically screw supports except Ana…

But screw her too since heals won’t stack, which makes working with your support pointless and make ult charging for suppers even longer…

And make all projectile heroes forced into cqc which makes them worse than hitscan at every range…

Careful there, Mercy mains every get mad when she gets any form of criticism.

I said it in /r/symmetramains and I’ll say it again here::

The good thing is at least he admits he’s got absolutely 0 clue what he’s thinking so people can easily dismiss this load of crap.

Like whenever people go stupidly go “put tp back on ult”, my first reaction is always, “ok genius, how do you want sym to get uptime? i.e. how do you want sym to reach, stay and get out of her effective range often and long enough?”

going backwards towards old sym whereby she literally had barely any tools at the design level to get uptime is in no way a positive change esp when looking in context of OW2 (5v5, tanks being more yolo aggro to brawl, mobility creep, etc.).

Problem with these patch ideas is that the authors ignore what is fun for everyone else.

That’s one of the problems with OW. The nerd bat has nerfed what made the game fun for everyone.

It’s trying to be this serious game when it can’t unless they remake everyone play with small changes from each other for the sake of balance.

The devs and all the people that do Patch wikis need to start with the fundamentals.

What will make this game fun for players. What will make hero x, y, and z fun to learn, rewarding to use, and not cause a fight before the match starts because in 5 years that’s the net gain that nerving heroes has gotten this game.

Because Mercy is balanced (look at her overbuff stats)

If you dislike playing her thats your personal opinion, she is extremly popular.

And you seem to play on console, the game is not balanced around that anyway.

The game isn’t balanced for any players outside of the 1% in GM on PC bud.

Damage Boost tips breakpoints and enables DPS far too freely.

It should be an expendable resource, not this infinite ability.

Console is a different game its not comparable to PC and its just logical that a hero like Mercy is stronger there.

Thats the only thing Mercy is good at, ya, why should we remove that?

No it shouldnt because Mercy can only dmg boost or heal but not both at the same time.
→ it has downsides.

Her dmg boost stats are 2k avg in gm, too.

Every hero does more DMG.

He basically hates anything that kills him instantly, or prevents/wipes out him killing anything instantly.

He’s exactly the type of player I’d hate to see balance OW, but if nobody else is on while I’m working his raging personality is entertaining to watch from time to time.

The hero should be reworked much against popular opinion.

Buff healing, lower DB, add resource costs to both, get her out of this trash niche pocket role she has become.

A little biased balance changes but I do agree with some of it.

Jesus Christ, Phillip. ¬_¬

Chipsa’s entertaining. But he might as well have said: “Delete everything I don’t like.”

There are some that are clearly biased, but most aren’t that bad and worth trying honestly. Especially that healing one at the beginning.

I ignore anyone who wants to nerf Cassidy hp without shrinking his hitbox too. He also wanted to nerf fth as well lol. Basically just delete him from the game then.

Mccreee is busted. Same than soldier

i really dont agree with any of his suggestions but the thing that scares me is that people idol worship these type of streamers so blizzard would be influenced by them just by the fact it would be good strategy sense to cater to the influencers. SINCE IDOL WORSHIP

video games tend to be going in that direction. using streamers as trend status and informative decision making as to how to change your game. it makes sense really if you are in an industry
