"Chill, it's just QP", unless it's something you don't like

I thought QP was the mode where nothing matters, where I’m not allowed to “complain” about anything or my teammates not trying to counter anything. And yet, QP is seriou business enough to have Horizon and Paris removed. Totally makes sense.

the people who say “Chill its QP” are the same ones that say “ez!!”. They want it both ways.

I play for fun, and fun for me is winning. If that’s me being “tryhard” then so be it.

More like, chill it’s a video game. Competitive mode also doesn’t matter.

Horizon and Paris are still in quickplay though so at least Blizzard agrees it is not a big deal. They were also only removed due to being unpopular and not for any major balance issues.

Nope…I say “chill” when things are heated and my team is arguing about hero pics. If I wanted this kind of toxicity, I would have played comp…

Also, those two maps were so unplayable due all leavers, that I am happy it´s finaly gone. “chill” game doesn´t mean that we have to suffer through it due missing people in group.

They just got removed today from there…

Lol

Truly unfortunate as there was nothing wrong with those maps. Complainers gonna complain though. We have now lost more content than we have gained which is pretty sad. People were just starting to come around to not leaving en masse and those matches were pretty enjoyable.

I tell people to “chill it’s QP”(and sometimes even the hated “chill it’s a game” in comp), and never say “ez!”

I am just tired of toxicity. I’m tired of the tilting effect it has on teammates. I’m tired of teammates throwing because of it. I’m tired of the bickering that happens. I’m also just tired of dealing with it in general.

So when people start getting toxic over nothing, i’m going to try to get them to relax.

It’s fine for people to try stuff, even really idiotic dumb crap as long as they tell the team BEFORE THE ROUND STARTS.

That’s not what i’m referring to. Pretty sure OP and I are talking about when people say you’re tryharding in QP when i’m just playing the game.

Are you sure about that, or do you think confirmation bias could be a thing?

I’ve told toxic teammates to “chill, it’s just qp” when they’re harassing teammates, but I’ve never once said “ez” in game.

The maps were removed because nobody was playing them, especially Paris. Everyone would just quit when the game started. It’s even worse when the tank leaves and keeps getting put in the same game over and over.

idk…never seen it used otherwise than people trying to stop toxicity or someone, who tried to boss people around… :woman_shrugging:

So first you say this, that Blizzard thinks it isn’t a “big deal”.

But then…

You pull this card?..

So what it is?

If you follow the trail of “Blizzards opinion on the map” then they removed it so there clearly was a problem with those maps.

Or you follow your own biased opinion that states “this map is fine”.

Make a choice dude and don’t backpedal.

QP is the casual competitive fun mode. Try to win and have fun. But if so many people are not having fun on a certain maps/modes that they’re leaving…

I didn’t like these maps (or indeed 2CP) but I think they coulda just aggressively changed their structure some more or something (alongside giving us a map/mode selector)

Nothing I said was contradictory. They didn’t get removed from competitive because there was something wrong with them in regards to balance. Blizzard, at least for awhile, didn’t think the masses ridiculousness should extend the casual quickplay mode. Seems they will take any win they can these days in order to please the masses even if the masses are silly and have no reasons for the things they believe.

This is the same you wrote before.

We do not know that. There was never a reason officially stated why they removed them.

Personal opinion. No confirmations.

So again:

don’t pull the “Blizzard” card, when your whole point is based on personal preference and opinion.

Your whole opinion was based on the fact that Blizzard did not remove them.

Now they removed them.

So… Following it: Blizzard thought there was something wrong with them, otherwise they wouldn’t have removed them. Pretty simple, no?

QP and QPC are all about mindgames.

You can’t trust the account nameplates. Especially when they’re bronze border. People have alts with silver borders so if the borders are bronze and you’re a plat border than it’s a huge fakeout/mindgame.

Fake effort fake try sudden pocket full sweat. If you’re dumpstering them it’s because they’re laughing and meme’ing ur sweaty try and pretending to be bad and letting you win.

There really is no point anymore until they clean up the duplicates.

I mean if I saw mains vs. mains and solos vs. solos on the right server I couldn’t care less about the matchmaking. But there is all kinds of rigging and it’s usually a plat border and solo queue

Jeff shared with us on the forum the balance numbers awhile back. Those maps were slightly offense biased, but barely any more than any other 2CP map. They were removed because of all the complaining and leaving.

It’s pretty self explanatory that at that point they still existed in Quickplay because they didn’t think it would matter. Then apparently the complaining and leaving extended there too.

Yeah?..

Almost like… You know… The maps really were trash, badly designed and not fun to play in.

I usually don’t agree with the mob mentality but for these two maps, it was certainly true that they were not fun and I found myself leaving on each of these maps too because I didn’t like to play on them and thought they were poorly designed.

Good on Blizzard that they did remove them though.
