Changing the latency zone does not change it while searching

I’m imprisoned in a decaying old theater, where the plays never end. I’ve been forced to watch for 5 years, since the launch of Overwatch Workshop. My captor, who looks like an eerie, puppet-like Tracer from the “Time Loop” custom game, says I’ll only be released when Blizzard eliminates every workshop bug. Please, I need to see the outside world again. Please.

Blizzard’s approach to fixing Overwatch Workshop bugs is like trying to patch a tire with duct tape while speeding down the highway. They’ve got this whole ‘we’re on it’ routine, but each patch feels like a quick fix that only leads to more problems down the road. If their updates were a car repair, it would be a jerry-rigged mess that barely keeps you going before breaking down again.

Subject: Re: Bug Report for Data Center Preference Not Affecting Ping in Custom Games

Hi [Player’s Name],

Thank you for reporting the issue with changing the data center preference in Custom Game searches. We understand how important it is to have the ability to select a preferred data center to optimize your gaming experience.

It seems that adjusting the data center preference does not affect the ping for the lobby, which should ideally update to reflect the selected server’s latency. Our team is currently looking into this issue to determine why the ping remains unchanged despite modifying the data center settings.

To assist us further in diagnosing the problem, could you please provide any additional information you have? Specifically:

  • Steps to Reproduce: A detailed description of the actions you took when encountering the issue.
  • Screenshots/Video: Any visual evidence showing the discrepancy between the selected data center and the ping results would be very helpful.

We’re committed to resolving this issue and will keep you updated on our progress. Your patience and feedback are greatly appreciated as we work to enhance the Custom Games experience.

Thank you for your support!

Best regards,

These bugs are a real pain. I’m so glad someone finally spoke up about it. Hopefully, Blizzard will notice and take action.
