Cassidy's grenade is WACK

130 free burst damage lmao, what a joke. Pls nerf this braindead, no skill ability to deal at MAX 80-100 damage instead. Quite possibly the easiest 130 burst DPS granted at the moment across the DPS roster. If you’re not a tank or a melee-type hero with 250 hp, good luck, because one flimsy body-shot + no aim no brain grenade = you dead if you get within medium range of this hero. Not even close range, but MEDIUM range. Wack asl. :rofl:

For such a low skill floor ability wise, it is too powerful and on too short a CD.

It’s another of the cheap abilities going around in OW2.

Ok just curious, what do you think did happen when you got Flashed by a Cass in OW1 ?
Also Im pretty sure there are other things that should be “balanced” before that, like Swift Strike : 50 damage AOE , mobility, generous hitbox + reset on assist.

True, i agree its WACK, its even WACKER cuz its so bad, i dont agree it really needs nerfing, or rather just nerfing tho, an full on rework would be best imo.

I never ever had an issue with flashbang. But at least with flashbang, you had to be close and it’s dodge-able. This braindead ability there’s no dodging lmao. The only way the 130 DPS wont hit you is if the Cassidy’s mouse or controller is looking up at the sky :rofl:

Flashbang was literally just as easy to connect and left you there to receive 200-300 damage from FoTH. Weird that you have an issue with 130 damage but ok.

nah I found flashbang easily baitable and dodgeable. There is no dodging grenade as it TRACKS YOU ffs.

Ive found that both iterations are basically just as easy to connect on most targets, outside of fringe scenarios where Flash was actually easier to land, like Deflecting Gengus or Sigma’s Succ, over Rein’s shield or cover in general, BUT just because one ability is awfully designed doesnt mean we can’t complain about the other awfully designed ability.

This is simply just wrong. Genji is a high mobility hero with an ability to complement that. When using dash you need to take into consideration where you are dashing to. One wrong move and you can end up in the center of the enemy team for just “50 damage aoe” (not aoe btw)

The reset is assuming that person is eliminated. Cassidy gets 130 damage, without being forced into a poor position, without needing to properly aim, and on a shorter cooldown than Genji’s dash.

Still weaker for the Cassidy player than flashbang.

Bruh a few days ago he threw this towards someone on my team and it locked onto me, on low HP, around a corner and killed me like wtf

he has enough get out of jail free cards that is not even an issue not to mention dash reset without kill confirmation which is just icing on the cake on already overtuned hero.

These arent comparable at all, replace Genji swift strike with Cass grenade and Genji will be F tier.

I disagree on the “poor design”, thats subjective at this point.

Almost everything you said was wrong mate. Point by point:
1- Genji having Deflect makes him way more powerful by default
2- Positioning is not really that much of an issue since you have the reset, its just not 100% forgiving, obviously (because again, Deflect exists)
3- It is AOE indeed dude. You can hit several targets on the trajectory and even people standing in paralel.

If you unironically think Genji is less powerful than Cass, this conversation is over immediately.

Its very little subjection, when his Nade is just copying Pulse Bomb, reducing the dmg by 220, giving it a dumb auto tracking, delaying the explosion by 0.5s and calling it a day.

All it does is damage, not the slightest of interesting effects or skill-ceilling, its quite likely one of the worst “designed” things ive seen from the team and its the same one that gave us Brigitte and Mercy 2.0.

Cassidy’s grenade is THROW, not WACK. You don’t wack people with a grenade.

I can assure you that there were enough times where he threw it directly at someone and it just fell down or exploded midair

I agree that its uninspired and boring. Especially since they gave Bastion almost the same thing just without homing capability but bouncing off walls. Since they set themselves a no CC on dps rule, they have become very uncreative.

Bastions even boop at the very least too so he can rocket jump or boop people around, Cass’s not even that, it has no use if its not stickying something, its so bad.

Like DPS can have slow and booping why not give him one of those? since Bastion’s has booping give him slow then dangit.
