Where? I’ve been searching high and low for it for years and all I find is braindead noob aim-assist right-click and random orbs floating around 7/8th of the time.
Unrelated to aim the only thing that is skill (and I’m only talking low elo games here) is using her cooldowns to stay alive, but that’s the same on every hero.
Disagree, I felt far worse stunning or being stunned with Cassidy than I do with sticky nade. I will grant that it’s not a very fun ability to interact with even though it fits his high burst damage style of play. If they could come up with something similar to that to replace nade with I’d be fine. But preferably nothing AoE related.
Its not as bad as Flash ever was but id argue its even less fun to play with and around since its so stupidly slow and has barely any skill-ceilling, i think they should actually give him an interesting ability that aint just a copy paste from Pulse Bomb with less dmg without any of the skill, something like this :
Flash was way more deadlier than the new grenade and was pretty much a death sentence if you were flashed as a squishy. Now many heroes can just nullify the sticky with cooldowns like wraith/fade/suzu etc. Also any healing received at all will require more than one body shot to confirm the kill on a 200hp hero.
I also thought about it having “mobility prevention” the same way Grav works to some extent, you’d still be able to Wraith out though interestingly enough…
But i for one would prefer they gave some value of his kit to FTH and made it an skillfull ability as well so he has a more varied and balanced kit other than too much focus on one of his abilities.
Gotta break it to you, its actually about 3x easier to prevent the current nade on an teammate with Suzu than Flash would, since this one can also be suzu’d but takes 1.5s to explode unlike Flash’s instant explosion.
I think his current matchup is Reaper favored if anything, though it depends on the map.
I know, but it could do it to a smaller extent while also him having a strong FTH to counter close ranged encounters wich usually happens to be mobile heroes (and Tanks).
Something like this:
Nowadays i think the spread is a bit too small maybe, something like 3-4 with 10-20m falloff is prolly more correct.
If it was less stupidly easy and cheesy, people wouldnt complain as much, i know i would, i literally know its a terribly weak ability with tons of counters but that just exarcebates the feeling it sucks to die to it or that its in the game as it is at all.
Even using it feels horrible and boring, theres no saving that garbage.
I think we know from experience that this isn’t true. The fact is that McCree needs to do his job; he needs the tool to counter flankers and be a mid range force to be reckoned with. You guys didn’t like flash, but that doesn’t mean McCree should be made worse and do a worse job if flash is removed.
What would be “less cheesy” to you? Do you know? Right now, its a grenade that does grenade things; if anything, the issue is that its generic (like Bastion’s grenade.), but it gets results.
Personally, a high powered grenade that magnetizes and is, well, worse and more stupid than flashbang, but he commands a great deal of attention due to it, so it should stay.
What do u mean by this? Flash was almost as cheesy as this one while being stronger in general, the problem i have with this one goes the other way, its cheesy and weak.
As i’ve linked like 50 times, ima do it again cuz it just triggers me, this uninspired pile of trash that is (sorry to the devs but it just kinda is).
Having it actually require you to aim a headshot to confirm a kill
explode faster,
have utility usage,
use for its explosion radius
and actually require aiming the stupid thing to get its full value
All around makes it less cheesy, all around stronger, with a higher skill-ceilling to boot and actually remotely inspired.
I mean what I posted. He needs to do his job, and his job is an anti flanker mid fielder dude. He needs something with either an AOE or homing to fight the high mobility characters.
I don’t think it was stronger just because it stunned you. If you had any sort of mobility, like if you jumped over him or were dashing, the momentum from that could save you from Fan the Hammer.
This means, he’d either have to roll and fan you again (bad idea because they’re not stunned anymore), or hard commit to the fight without using any more skills.
Now he just has a grenade that does a ton of damage. I’m not saying flash is weaker, but its not objectively stronger than his new nade.
What will you say when people complain about this nade, too? I really think you’re overestimating people here, most people just dislike losing, and they’ll blame whatever they want to save themselves from the reality of “I shouldn’t be fighting Cree in nade range”.
Also
I hate when you guys mention “skill ceillings” as if abilities are just better if they take more skill. Sometimes skills need to work, and my grenade should stop genji or tracer now. I shouldn’t have to do all of this complex aiming and risk missing when Genji, Tracer, Reaper, and any other flanker can press an instant value skill and teleport, dash, or worse teleport over to flank us.
You will hate this in game when flankers run over your team, but by then you’ll probably pivot to “nerf flankers!”.
Yeah it was, it also functioned as an anti ultimate tool, went over cover, actually useful to defend yourself against all sort of situations,… etc. ( you also were not supposed to Fan the hammer every stunned target, headshotting them twice was always the best choice to save ammo)
I dont care if people complain about losing, its the nature of it, if you’re not frustated about losing that means you didnt care about winning at all, the issue is that the ability is cheesy and stupidly uninspired, wether people complain about dying to it or not is beyond me.
I think its close to the most uncreative uninspired thing they ever put in the game, close to like instant Ress or Brig’s Armor packs, my first reaction to it when i played the beta was “What the F is this?” then the second was “This has to be an placeholder for when the game is ready” and here we are with a copy paste Pulse Bomb without any of the skill on it.
Yes, abilities are better when they take skill to be good, thats what makes a game fun to play and balanced around actually learning things and playing it, flankers got nerfed for a reason, and Reaper needs some more skill ceilling as well.
When we had things like Junker Queen’s shout just giving everyone 100 Overhealth and speed on a 11s cooldown on a press of a button, the game devolves into whoever can press Left Shift (Default) best, its dumb game design and unfun, thats why things need to take skill for them to be good.
theres nothing wrong with cheesy. ninjas are cheesy. they attack from the shadows. getting killed by a cheap death sucks. welcome to gaming? Lol… not like it’s any less cheesy to get sniped from a million miles away… whatever…
