Blizz sought something really effective against flankers and not so effective against tanks and their solution was
big(small for tanks) damage
easier to apply than FB

It feels too cheesy. But OW itself actually is full of cheese. Blizz should have made something requires brain and skill when they wanna replace the mechanical skill, but they simply removed it, nothing else. The result is … the game feels vast yet shallow. Highly attractive at first but people lose their interest fast.
Meanwhile, Cassidy isn’t even on any of the top 500 player picks
His only real purpose at the highest levels was the stun for counterplay against extremely difficult to counter abilities. With that gone, so to goes his niche.
They should have gave Cassidy overload, but they gave that to Torb.

I mainly play this meme hero since release this meme patch called ow2 and yes i think this cheese ability can not be worse, but beside being braindead cheese it is also useless af 9 times out of 10. I totally gave up on seeking any sense in mcmeme’s current kit and just try to outplay people by pure aim. It is even more laughable in current meta where cree do 20 damage per shot on a distance while sojo OS KO you from other side of map. Doesn’t matter what they do to flashbang tbh if they never fix damage drop off and fix tanks. I ignore competitive since release and i did not even open challenges list, battle pass list and shop because game just isn’t worth it. I still play it like ow1.
I don’t think they can fix current nade in any way even. I say they just have to give poor guy his old stun back. It might even last 0.1s, but it still be an ability that can interrupt things like deflect and good amount of ults. Cree doesn’t need an ability that do damage, he need a kit that can be used to peel for your backline.
Or even better just not giving him another ability and letting him rot where he belongs

Moira has no aim assist honey
It’s just as good as aim assist with the forgiveness of the beam. I play moira and it is way too easy to keep her beam on the target - way too easy - to the point they can jump around as much as they want and that beam is staying on them 100% of the time.

I dunno, they wanted to keep flashbang without the stun, so I think it’s a good compromise. It essentially achieves the same thing - a free kill.
I just think it’s WAY easier to hit than flash was. I’ve literally stuck people round corners, who’ve then used a movement ability to get away, and the grenade followed them all the way, since it already got within lock on range. It’s too easy to get value out of imo.

Cheesy is okay. I love cheese, I eat it every week, the real thing btw, not that orange melted crayon thing.
What is not okay is stuns.
With Flashbang, Cassidy could have too few bullets to get a fan-kill or could miss a headshot or something. It was also easy to bait and juke. The only problem with it was that it could be used to chain-stun Tanks.
The current magnetic grenade is literally “walk in straight line, body shot, E, free kill”. It’s really not a problem for a lot of flankers; Reaper’s Wraith Form, Tracer’s Recall, Sombra’s Translocator, Kiriko’s teleport whatever. It’s a bigger problem for supports where the Cass just goes “You’re stuck!” and you die.
Just make it explode and do like 80 damager or something, the entire sticky mechanic is just terribly implemented
he basically has Tracers super as a normal move
