You don’t play gatcha, you get played.

“be glad they don’t do more”

Weird way to show disapproval IMO

yeah…be glad the greed has only gone this far…cause it can (and most likely will) get a lot lot worse

lol you should see all the currencies in Destiny 2, and that’s after they removed like half of them due to people complaining about it.

Eh. Some of the more recent decisions on the front of monetisation do suggest some improvement, but it does remain to be seen either way still imo.

Pity they have no idea what the game should be and are catering hard to casual pew pew players more than anything else.

Some of these currencies can be combined into one, like Competitive Points or Mythic Shards and OWL Tokens.

Unfortunately it is very likely to be on purpose. One of the many tricks that has been well observed to get people to spend, or spend more, which means that companies like Blizzard will gleefully implement it.

Or you are numb to corporate abuse

Almost as much as your average gacha game.

People have always done this by just buying out the whole BP as soon as they open the game.

Would have been way funnier to add the mythic system next season after fleecing the Mercy players

Most interesting to me is mythic skins are bought with prisms earned in the premium BP, the premium BP is bought with OW coins, and OW coins are now only obtainable in the BP itself.

You know Blizz will reduce prism/coin rewards in the future, so that players will need to cover currency gaps by spending $$$$$ in the shop.

Welcome to Blizzflation and Currencywatch.

no, and that isn’t ever coming back. If you want stuff besides just access to teh game, pony up.

I never asked for lootboxes to comeback.
I thought we could farm 1100 “cash” coins now rather than 600.

But oh well…

I mean, this game went F2P in exchange for charging you for anything cool.
I think that was a smart idea business-wise. However, I am tempered on it as well–it cant cost JUST to cost, it needs to be worth it.

Right now, I only find the 10 or 20 buck battle passworth it…the other one (the bundle) is Overpriced. It was fine at 30…no reason to raise it to 40.

Agreed. Its more currencies than I have IRL and ive been to 5 countries this year.

Of course not, that’s the whole point. You spam all kinds of currencies so the customer gets confused trying to navigate it all, realizes they can’t grind enough in time, gives up and spends $80. It’s all calculated to trick you. Gosh, I miss Heroes of the Storm and its only three currencies with ways to convert one type into another.

The point of the prisms is to be blatantly deceptive and confusing.

More currencies mean you have to spend more money.
The trick is to never give Blizzard your money. Simple as.
