Can we please do something about support creep

The supports are becoming too powerful… Moria, Ana, Kirko, Zen are all too powerful and need a tone down

Is there still a shortage of support players? (haven’t been able to play for a bit so I don’t know)

I’m not even against nerfing them as a support main myself, but you’d have to somehow make sure they were still enjoyable to play afterwards (whether with compensation buffs, or something else) so that people don’t just stop playing the role entirely.

There, fixed.

Then Blizzard proceed to nerf Genji

Do you even still play the game with how much you are on the forum and how negative you are all the time?

No, I don’t play it.

They have shorter queue times than DPS but it isn’t huge.

Then why are you on the forum of a game you so clearly hate and especially talking about balance?
Like genuinely.

Yes please. Hanzo while they are at it

Waiting for mercy to get properly nerfed for example so i can play but the matchmaking so far is the biggest dealbreaker.

I mean, you have been negative about OW2 even before it came out and it seems like nothing much changed about it by the looks of it.
Mercy will never get “properly nerfed” because she simply isn’t some OP monster. She is fairly strong, but nothing crazy

i have been negative since OW1 but still nothing has changed to better so there is really nothing to be positive about. It is only getting worse, not better.

Clearly they love OW. Id argue you are the one who hates it. Seeing as you can’t give it tough love.

Lets stay on topic and agree that supports are becoming DPS with passive heals

It’s kinda hard to tell, imo. Not only have they chucked matchmaking quality out of the window in order to drive down queue times but it’s also turned out that matchmaker is bugged and/or generally not working properly, so using queue times as a bellwether isn’t as solid an idea as I used to think it was.

But anecdotally, from my perspective as an average-at-best player from the UK, supports are usually the queue that has the bribe floating overhead in both support and QP.

Another indicator is what I get when I queue up as all roles, and in the last fifty games of QP where I’ve done this I’ve got:

Tank: 18
DPS: 9
Support: 23

Back in season one, the ratio was more along the lines of 1:2:4 (tank:DPS:support).

So in my own experience, supports are still the least played role, but it’s closer to tanks than it was back when tanks were new and shiny. Your mileage may vary!

Lol at talking about too powerful and OP and putting Moira first. :skull:

Nah, Moira is not OP anywhere. No matter the rank.
The only actual issue currently is Zen’s discord orb and Mercy’s <50% healing boost.

Same in OCE for someone around the same rank.

It’s a rank thing, for some ranks, sure. For others, not so much you know?

I’d say she is pretty strong in the low low ranks. But that could be all of the genji players trying it on

They seem to think she is a bit strong.

I complain about Overwatch regularly, but I just don’t see the point in being negative about everything all the time.
If I ever get to that point with anything, I would just stop doing it.

How did you forget Bap?

As for Moira yes she is OP in the exact same way Orisa is… huge value for little to no skill or knowledge of the game. Mercy is easy to get into just like Moira but the value from her is far harder to actually get out of the kit and that is a major issue for low ranks.

Support are currently at a good place. There are no need for huge changes. If you think supports are to OP, then you should start playing them for a while and see how the experience is. Its fine, but still not as good as tank or DPS if you play all roles.
