Meanwhile i installed overwatch on my pc and i could log in. The ‘Merge account’ only visible there for me and it says im in queue.
Since I have initiated the merge several days ago I am guessing that they did not even start the account merges before the launch.
For people who want to merge their accounts on consoles I recommend downloading OW2 on their pc via battlepass, and the ‘Merge Accounts’ menu might be visible under the other menu points, so they can initiate the merge.
Obviously this is just a theory. I am not necessarily good understanding dumb things blizzard usually does.

I didn’t link on Overwatch before the release of Overwatch2 and I’ve only played on the one account I did the log in how do I transfer my data?

Same here, 1200 hours in overwatch 1, always and just on ps4 with psn account linked to battle net years ago. I launched ow 2 for the first time already logged in with the correct account, but i have none but origins skins for the first game and some ow league purple skins. Merge button does nothing if i press it. This is absurd!

I can’t say I’m excited to waste 20 + gigs of my data plan for this merge alone, as my PC is not going to run OW2 in any capacity, but hey
1000 + hrs may be Worth it

Have you tried that? I’m updating my Xbox right now so I can keep my old skins o got from a long time ago, PlayStation is what I mostly play now but I still wish to keep my skins and stuff. Did it let you merge stuff from your Xbox after overwatch 2 was released?

I dont get the merge option on ps5 or series x so will try this pc work around in my laptop if it works.
also here same problem: I have always played Overwatch 1 legendary edition on Xbox One for hundreds and hundreds of hours, trying to collect skins, I had already linked my battlenet account to the xbox account because the game was asking me to. about a year ago, in fact the nickname in the game had also changed. I did not know that the account had to be merged because they had not advertised it and I found myself at level 1 with everything eliminated. I’m still pissed off by all this, I even opened a Ticket. Do you have any news?

Same issue in my house, one of us didnt “merge” in OW1. I have tried logging into OW2 on PC but the Merge Account button just doesnt do anything as it is on console.

Absurd situation, my friend on pc that barely played the first game cause can’t stand losing in games started the game with every hero unlocked and skins, without even merging the account. Me, 1200 hours on ps4, not even a spray. This is how justice operates nowdays.

I had a similar question I can’t seem to find overwatch one anymore after the release is it possible for me to still transfer my skins I wasn’t aware of the process

Ok, i deleted the disc version and downloaded the digital version from the store. After booting it asked me to confirm to transfer my account to the game, and now i’m in queue. Dunno if they just fixed it or the problem was with using disc version.

I reverted to the disc version (which is 30 gb and not 22), i still have my account merging in queue and still cannot use anymore Junker queen, sejourn, and every unlockable heros till zeniatta (25 games), the other ones, incuding echo are unlocked. I can’t do anything to use these characters, even the challenge tab is now empty. How bad does blizzard work is beyond me
I’m also in queue for account merge, do you think it will eventually work?
