I can’t take having to counterpick this hero anymore… i’m sick of playing her. I rather watch my SR drop now. Almost every hero that counters her (except Hanzo) i hate playing with. Am i supposed to play something i don’t like just cause enemy is playing their favorite heroes? what kind of twisted logic is that? January patch NEEDS to fix her ASAP. In 1 week i had over 6 hours with her and she is currently my top played hero of the season cause every single match i had to pick her to counter enemy Mei at some point.

Agreed, but since that won’t ever happen they need to increase the time to freeze from 1.5 seconds to 2.5 seconds. And her freeze shouldn’t be able to pierce through enemies and there should be a 2 second immunity till an enemy can be frozen again if they were initially frozen

You can pick Junk, Pharah, Ashe all counter her way harder than Mei does.
Aka, nerf her so hard she is never played again? That is just bad balancing.

I thought the same when Sombra was the lowest win rate in EVERY single rank.
She didn’t escape the next patch, she was nerfed.
If the OW devs are doing what they do the best, she will be buffed

We balance by pick and win rates, objective things.
She isn’t some kind of crazy outlier there.
She isn’t doing better than most other DPS.
If you want to nerf her, you would have to nerf most of the DPS lineup as well.
I GET that she is annoying, and I would change her myself, but, I wouldn’t be doing it as pure nerfs, because she doesn’t need pure nerfs.

I am NOT saying she doesn’t need changes because she does. I ran a long series of posts working out what changes would work.
I AM saying that pure nerfs would be an awful approach, because she ISN’T doing better than a lot of the other DPS.

She is not the only one. They have nerfed things for being unfun and making people feel powerless. Mei needs her freeze to take longer.

Or at least stop the 30% right off the bat so Hammond has time to escape. I don’t disagree with that.
I ALSO think the wall should be 1/2 the health it is now. Because of issues around the choke.
But I ALSO think we have wall being cooldown on cancel, and 1/2 the cooldown time.
Her wall needs to be less dangerous at choke, and her gun needs tweaking, but…
To keep her win rate, she needs wall cooldown changes, so she can use it more often in a fight.
It is the “PURE NERF” part I disagree with, ESPECIALLY on this scale.
I am not against changes to her. I AM against changes to just dumpster her.
As well id increase her damage to 60 but also increase the cast time of her ult to 1 second. It’s not bad balancing cause she’s so crazy OP right now, she’d still be viable

THAT is the issue with people calling her OP. OP looks VERY different than this.
Hanzo LOOKS op, Mei doesn’t, Mei looks like a standard meta DPS right now.

This game was based on counter picking.

By counter picking you are forcing enemies to swap OFF their favorite heroes as well… if they even have any.

Mei is not the greatest counterpick for Mei. She is weak against spiky damage and range, which she herself isn’t great at.
