She needs to have more survivability for the 90% of the playerbase. She is too flimsy. An extra 50-100 hp on her shield would NOT return her to the 1v1 machine that she was on her release.
I like the new repair packs. I don’t mind her being more support focused. I just want her to be able to SURVIVE LONG ENOUGH TO DO HER JOB.
I would appreciate something to give her a better chance. I used to find playing her fun, but now I find myself passing up on picking her because the cons far outweigh the pros.
If her whole kit didn’t revolve around her having to melee to do her job, it would be fine. Since it does, however, it is not fine.
A slight buff to her shield would allow her to engage a bit longer, but I think it’d be nicer to have a slight buff to her Inspire proc. She just can’t self sustain herself very well in a fight, she needs her team to take literally all the damage for her. Which doesn’t happen because she needs to be in the face of her enemies to do her job.
It just seems counter productive to make a hero’s whole kit be about hitting things to heal and help, then make it so that close combat is punishable to that same character.
She needs SOMETHING. I personally prefer a stronger shield, but I would be fine with a 40% inspire penalty instead of 50%. I am tired of playing respawn simulator.
I also think she needs a bit stronger shield. if it was 250 - 300 HP I think that would help. I think her repare pack should heal a bit faster, but not too much tho.
I think you’re mistaking an observation of a disparity within a kit to survivability in general.
Yes all those heroes have low TTK and I wouldn’t argue that pound for pound they drop in health quickly… but:
Ana does most of her shtick from range with burst recovery and possibly double duty damage AND a (very skill based) disengagement tool, Zen has at least High threat when engaged and again is effective from range, Bap has not only a mobility skill (not the greatest, yeh… ) but 2 ways to save himself AND again… range, and Mercy is crazy mobility queen with a high self regen for free and her pistol is really nothing to sneeze at.
So why does brig gotta be jack-in-the-box healthpack dispenser when she has a shield and a close up kit?
You don’t have to play Brigitte as a frontline do-everything-role nor should you. You can stay back just like all other supports can. You can still keep Inspire up without running into the enemy team. A hero doesn’t need a buff if you are playing it wrong.
I’m not looking for “front line”… I’m looking for doesn’t require constant support or hiding and the ability to engage at least a diver and not crumble like paper. She doesn’t need to kill them but she shouldn’t be easy pickings.
She works. Yes. But she does the job worse and less survivably than any other healer… which is weird because she has a shield and gimped damage (in range and output) for no reason other than she’s always had it.
Give her some damage or some range or some defense. Something to make her a reason NOT to pick someone else instead.
I have played her and found more reasons not to pick her in most situations than to pick her.
i dunno man. I mostly float around in mid gold to mid plat, and brig has been really quite a monster to play against lately, in the hands of smart players.
