Calling it now:

Brig will still be meta

Have fun watching another set of nerfs be yet again a failure, lol.

she will be meta because all other supports are already unfun and ruined…you would have to pay me real money to play Mercy, Bap, Lucio or Zen…

She will at least be a bit more on par with Lucio which means my boy might be playable again :frog:

Also Ana is top main support, which forces Lucio or Brig to keep her up, and Brig does that better than Lucio.

Nah, 50 health is way too big of a deal and inspire was what kept her strong, along with the double shield meta and a need for two genji counters (Bap and Brig). Now all of that is gone with a 50 health nerf on top.

Especially after they buff Mercy, which they need to, and give moira that utility they have been testing. (And the zen buffs too)

Every change has been the one that kills her…until it doesn’t.

The problem isn’t Brig, it’s that other off supports are too weak. Yeah, Zen got small buff, but sadly, it won’t be game changing.

No Brig’s strength is now on par with Lucio. She might still be super strong but def not meta or op

I think this one is a little different than some of the last nerfs though, especially with so many other heroes having recently been changed or changed in this update. These are REALLY big nerfs. And everyone that enables her is also being nerfed (Genji did, no longer need Bap-Brig combo for countering him, double shield meta and her triple shield along with it looks like it’s gone, other supports are finally being buffed, starting with Zen).

But I completely agree with you that it’s the other supports being too weak. I’m ready for the Zen buffs, I think Mercy and Moira need buffs (moira getting some soon hopefully with some fade utility hopefully), I could even see Lucio getting some. And I think a major problem is burst damage is so strong that the supports can get one or melted, where Brig can hide behind her barrier for a bit, then her Orisa and Sigma’s barrier. There is a reason teams needed 3 barriers and an immortality field. It’s because of the damage and burst damage in the game.

Maybe they will buff Brig’s damage or make shield bash good again if they are making the game go more in the FPS direction. She’s gonna need damage to defend herself now, and if they are trying to make the game faster and more damage based rather than slower, healing, MOBA based, maybe once Brig becomes horrible they will give her more damage or dive countering potential like she used to have and will need.

give me at least one reason to pick her  :see_no_evil:

Yep, She’ll be meta.
But she won’t be fun

i really dont think she will be meta, that said after the last nerf i didnt think she would be meta and i was wrong about that

she got the nerfs only because genji got buffed lol

ana isnt top dog 100%, its her and baptiste
so ana mercy, ana zen, bap zen, bap mercy, ana lucio will likely be the rotated around support meta depending on the map, which is actually really healthy for the game to have map based picks rather than

ā€œpick brig every game, get SR heeheeā€

I’ve heard similar things with every one of her nerfs, and it’s always the same result. The data leans towards no effect, yet again.

If Orisa/Sigma is dead, Rein is back. Ana is best with Rein, and guess who’s best at keeping Ana alive…

ā€œkeeping ana aliveā€ isnt whats going to make a second support meta

At this point, I would be more surprised if a nerf actually changed her standing. She seems nerf proof.

Exactly, I’m just going off the data we have, and the data says, nerfs have no effect.

Wait, you think Brig is meta because the majority of the population finds her more fun then Zen and Lucio?

You are aware that the term ā€œBrig jailā€ was often repeated during Goats for a reason, right?

yeah, because they keep missing the problem…

I reckon she’s weaker in the meta but stronger in her own space (I wouldn’t say niche becuase it’s not small).

Combined with the Orisa and SIgma changes, this opens a lot more space for Winston comps, and Brig having less AoE heals but more self sustain means she can counter dive as usual without pushing up deathballs out the wazoo meta-wise.

It also makes her way better to play because Inspire is a passive uninteractive AoE and that 50% increase in Self heal is gonna come up big for those who enjoyed pre-rework Brig and loved to push that to its limits. Maybe I can 1v1 Reins again, who knows.
