Can you forward this bug? Nvidia broadcast is a crucial software that I use since years now. As I can’t use it at the same time with Overwatch, it is really bad for microphone quality.
I had no bluescreens since I disabled it while playing Overwatch. I had not a single bluescreen with any other game! I am talking dozens of games with plenty of playtime since years now. This is Overwatch 2 related. I have over a thousand hours in OW1 and had not a single bluescreen while these hours and I had even another RTX card before my current one also using Nvidia Broadcast.
I really would appreciate if you forward this bug to Overwatch devs and tell them it has quite significant importance. We have discord (voicechat) communities running in the background! I affects a lot of people!
Hi all.
im new to this thread and all but ive been experiencing the same problem for a long enough time and unfortunately, i only remember it happening once i started playing OW2.
ive gone through countless hours of trying to fix the errors ive been getting, such as reinstalling windows, removing and adding applications, altering files and such but nothing has seemed to stop them from happening.
at first it was the occasional random crash giving the “DPC watchdog violation”, when i looked it up it said it could be conflicting software, currupt files etc. so i tried re installing windows but i still was getting the errors.
then i found other articles talking about Nvidea rtx and such so i attempted to play without them and still it crashed the same. then i saw things regarding the audio drivers for my headset could be conflicting? so i uninstalled them and swapped headsets and it seemed to work, lasted 30 mins compared to the normal 5-10, then smae crash.
Something told me to check the mini dump crash report which i have attempted to do but then i was unable to find them. after changing some settings to ensure they are made, whenever i crash now i get a new “WHEA_unresolveable error” code. from research this tells me a have a hardware error which is fine but i wanted to rule out any other possibilities first as i have only just recently bought upgrades such as a 3070. i dont believe these are the causes to the problem as they work fine in other system and the error was still occuring on my old hardware, a 1080.
i am still running tests on other games and crash report checkers but im at a loss for what to do. any help or advice is much appriciated.
Providing info that video game companies do not create their software to work with specific third-party services is not snarky. It’s also unclear why you’re making this comment when I posted about reporting the issue much earlier in the thread.
Same here, latest GPU driver and NVidia Broadcast software installed on a fresh Windows 10 22H2.
Reinstalled GPU driver with DDU and Broadcast, still crashing. OW2 is the only game that causes BSOD (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION). Even not in OW1, Valorant, CSGO, Warzone 1 and 2, Battlefield 2042, Fortnite, GTA V Online and FiveM or Escape from Tarkov. Always in OW2!
Doesnt matter how long I play OW2, sometimes crashing after 30 minutes, sometimes after 3 hours.
Looks like nobody feels responsible for this problem…
And dont tell people, uninstalling NVidia Broadcast is the only option to play OW2.
Exact same issue, not sure what to do. Nvidia Broadcast is not the cause, this happens without it. RTX 3080ti and Ryzen 3700x. Something is broken and this really needs a fix. I stream dozens of other games and ONLY Overwatch 2 causes this crash.
Are you implying that Blizzard in specific don’t care about optimizing their games to work with programs from a giant like Nvidia in this day and age? Then how they added the option to turn on Reflex in-game?
I recently upgraded from RTX 2080 to RTX 4090. Obviously completely uninstalled and reinstalled all the drivers and Nvidia Broadcast app. Overwatch 2 still randomly crashes with a blue screen.
As others pointed out already it’s the only game that has that issue. All the other ones run flawlessly, including OW1 back then.
All that time after launch and I still can’t play Overwatch 2.
Do we even have a word from Blizzard they acknowledged the issue or they don’t care about us here and are fine enough with just players for whom the game works?
I have MSI click bios 5 and was getting this issue consistently after maybe 2 or 3 matches. What I did to fix the issue was turn off game boost in the bios. I hope this helps someone.
So, I’m having the same issue with the latest driver. no NVIDA broadcast, and it just randomly crashes when I first boot up my pc, then it restarts. and doesn’t happen again until a boot like the next day.
windows 11 (updated)
GTX1070 (I know but it works fine for all my other games!)
