Brutal Truth to everyone Whining about "Deleting Brigitte"

Crying about how much you hate Brig, and how much you want her deleted, Isn’t going to magically delete the hero, and it just makes the dev team ignore you even more.

She’s here to stay, the devs made her, and they introduced her to the roster. She’s not going anywhere. They made their choice when they designed her, and apparently they aren’t changing it.

They may rework her, nerf her, buff her, or revert her, but they are never going to remove her from the game. In the mean time, it’s time to stop yelling at the devs to delete heroes that you think are “unfun to play against”, and complaining about her existence in the game, adapt and accept it.

"We don’t have any plans to retire any heroes…

We’re not even remotely thinking about retiring heroes right now or anytime in the foreseeable future."

They’re not deleting heroes. And they confirmed that they never plan on doing so in the future.

They have no plans to delete Brigitte. They think she’s in a good spot. & That’s the tea.

“They think she’s in a good spot” Meanwhile Brig receives her 10th nerf

Why was she nerfed 3 times if the developers are “ignoring” us.

I don’t think people have issues with her art assets or voice actress or lore.

It’s just her gameplay element that’s terrible. A rework would be perfect.

pretty sure most people aren’t that naive to think they can literally get a hero deleted. what they mean is “i don’t like her kit because a support that can take care of herself better than most dps can is ridiculous”

just remove her stun and buff everything else 4head

I liked how they mocked “forum Brigitte”, then nerfed her a couple more times and even now in OWL she’s picked more in a dps slot than Tracer was during dive.

Solid.

Still played in OWL. Still a strong pick. Still not getting deleted from the game. Besides some tweaking, they think she’s fine. The Overwatch team doesn’t delete heroes, and people need to stop demanding them to.

I just wish the dev team would start swooping in and locking the threads now honestly they’re practically spam

They wouldn’t have nerfed her as much without the community backlash. She didn’t need that many.

I really doubt that. I can’t wait to feast on the sledgehammering she will get at the end of OWL stage 1.

Brutal truth: I was secretly hoping the brutal truth meme would die. Welp.

This, thank you.

No U. Lmao.

Nah. Keep the hope alive though.

K. You do you bud. :v:

No, all the anti dive people cried until they got dps removed from the game. Now you will get the same treatment until dps are restored and all you no skill tanks and supports are put back in your place.

I don’t think they could ignore us any more than they already are lul

Jokes aside, you’re not wrong. I personally feel like she’s caused more issues than she’s really worth, but there’s no going back now. She’s nowhere near as bad as she was before, though she is definitely helping enable GOATs. Everyone wants to blame her and her alone because of her playstyle, when there are multiple factors involved. It’s pretty sad.

That’s just like, your opinion though bud. Deep breaths…

Agreed. Well said.

They are indeed not going to delete her. She is indeed not a deal breaker in lower mid ranks, and her pick rate there is pretty low.

But she is also OP in 3 healer comp on the highest level.
And the fact that they made a low skill floor hero dominate the highest skill ceiling of entire class(dps), it’s creating a lot of justified frustration imo.

Fair points. Maybe they’ll raise her skill ceiling in the future.

i mean the deletebrig movement wasnt literally asking for brig to be deleted, they just wanted her to stop ruining the game regardless of how they do it. “Delete brig” was effectively just better clickbait than saying “rework/hard nerf brigitte”

Yeah, but they pretty much destroyed their own reputation / movement / cause with the “deletebrig” extremism. No one takes them seriously.

yeah but it got a lot of attention right, more than just saying nerf brig, so regardless of your opinions of them, it was effective at getting their message out there
