If they buff her I hope it’s to her tanking and not her healing.

Hopfully the nerfs to Brig are enough, and in combo with Bap, we can prevent Tracer from being the deciding factor between 2 balanced teams.
That IS however what the game was before Brig. The better tracer’s team won.
Shouldn’t Brigitte be a counter to Tracer since this game is mostly a rock, paper, scissors balance game?
This is an fps.
Rock paper scissors only works because showing all 3 symbols take the same amount of skill.
(and even then it’s a really boring game)
You can say that about any high skill hero though? McCree, Genji, Widow… if you could perform on that hero, you’d absolutely carry.
Right, but at the top end, the point in which balance is determined, Tracer was better than those other hero’s. She ultimately was the best hero in the game for an extended period of time, and so we got brig to delete her on sight.

Brigitte sure is in a weird spot in team composition balance. She’s mostly a flex DPS since she can’t do well in 2-2-2. I like her playstyle and wish her healing is a bit better for a support role. Damage dealt is alright in 1v1 and she has some nice escape routes. I’m alright with playing Brigitte in deathmatch and TDM, but not regular games.
You can’t balance a game in a way, where you have extremely easy solutions to high skill cap heroes…

You very much can, assuming the hero has its own counters. If the combo Brig has was enough to ‘one-shot’ tracer, but let Genji escape, and Brig was not enabling other hero’s that obliterate ranged DPS, she would have clear weaknesses, and would have done her job of being a counter pick to Tracer.

You are clearly in the right. If a gold brig who plays the game 2 hours a week can’t hard counter a pro tracer who’s spent 1000’s of hours perfecting a high skill hero…

No matter what counters Brigitte, Tracer is a troll pick, because Brigitte is easy to play. Ease of use is a massive part of a hero’s power. You must not underestimate consistency.
And like 200hp heroes hardly ever escaped, no matter who they were.
Not to mention that Brigitte is too hard to kill for ranged heroes still.

She has 0 mobility and like Zarya is a midsized target.

This is fair, the effort was not nearly the same, but is it any different really from the Genji/Winston match up?
That was an issue at first, I’m not sure it still would be after the nerf to her shield.
That isn’t true anywhere from Wood league to Overwatch league. Valiant and Gladiators were 2nd and 4th seed last year and they did not have the 2nd and 4th best Tracer.
At the highest level it has always been the team with better tank/supports win.
Winston can’t one shot Genji.
But yeah, melee heroes are kind of an issue.
Like you can’t dodge them, since they have a big cleave attack, and you can’t really block them either, since the attack goes through shields, other heroes, etc.

With 750 effective health, most of which can cover her critbox, and some self healing if she can hit something.
