Playing as a body guard anti dive hero is so much more interesting than the snooze fest brig 1.0 was.

They are also picking D.va, when Zarya is flat out better. It’s like they are trying to get characters nerfed or something…

nah, d.va is better than zarya when the dva player consistently eats every ult. That doesn’t happen till around 4.4+ tho.

Shes been on life support for the past 2 years, but now she’s getting more picked on ladder so I’m excited!
I hope you people realise that Tanks and Supports are almost always going to be the most-picked heroes in OWL - simply because there are half as many heroes in those roles as there are in the Damage role.
If a Damage hero is seeing Tank or Support levels of play, that may indicate a balance issue.

Well, if we are going to look at it like that, we should look at tank and supports at the other end, as those would clearly be trash and need help.
And the sad part is that this could have worked as a balance method should there be much more heroes (at least 50), but here we are stuck with 32 for a year already.
Games like DoTA2 has more than 100 heroes and there are obvious good and bad ones and significant outliers in power levels, and yet it self balances by being hard enough to figure out by pros into a stale meta, not to mention enough heroes allowing dynamic bans and less of 3-way countering and being countered.
Okay I have many arguments why it doesn’t matter but what are the other supports like, is she an outlier does she have a fair share of the potential pickrate with some leeway put into consideration are we.still in the period we they are all trying out different things and it’s a coiendence that brigs is higher picked maybe because of past succusess

It’s not though. It’s Overwatch played correctly, with teamwork. It’s why GM & ladder try to copy what OWL is doing. Just because most of ladder plays the game poorly doesn’t mean it’s a totally different game
When double shield was meta…I was playing in & against double shield. When Goats was meta… I was playing in & against Goats. Same with dive, Gigahog, triple tank, beyblade, you name it.
how can you be that dumb. why do you balance around bad players? it would be like putting the height of the hoop at basketball at 6 feet so 9 year olds could dunk.

Same players that force Ana into dive because she’s “so good Ana op pls nerf it !1!1! Bionade made me die 1 time that game!1!1!” And complain about being dead constantly on their team not peeling. Like all I wanna say to these players is how the support role has 2-3 of the best anti dive heroes. Bap, Brig, Moira (Moira more debatable now since the massive nerfs but she’s still decent into dive cuz of fade)
You’re entirely right about being alive being more value than being dead. Lol. The ability to self peel should also be strong in low ranks since you can’t really rely on your team, but since everyone forces bad heroes cuz they like them and don’t play to win- it makes everything harder lol.

Well said. She IS meant to be the Support tool to thwart tankers and not require Tanks/DPS to peel for the Supports constantly. I had to remind a whining Mercy / Zen team about this one time when they were getting dove over and over - they have a tool called “Brig” - use it.
