Sorry which days are you seeing again, because this week her winrate is way below that and even on a daily basis her winrate does not come close to that in GM.
Her pickrate is 5.23%. Lucio has a 13.38% pickrate. How is that “reached”?
Yeah but she also got, shield nerfs, armor pack nerfs, HP overall nerfs, etc.
Not a really strong case so far.
The thing is Brig forced metas for a few months when after she was realeased. After that, it was all synergy with metas like triple tank that allow her to be there.
For instance, when double shield entered the scene she was picked a lot, yes BUT she was not mandatory, heroes like Bapt, Moira, Ana (second iteration) were.
Mercy on the other hand, single handedly forced a meta for 6-8 seasons.
I am not saying she did not need those nerfs, she more than did but let’s at least give her more than a few days to judge her state.
Making up stats will not help your case.
And how long Mercy 2.0 was a OP mustpick in every single rank? A year? Brig was meta in top500 and OWL. And who cares? In ranked brig was good like month may be.
As long as she provides value with holding one mouse button.
Where? In owl? As a plyers in ranked we dont give a crap about OWL.
If you unironically think ranked pickrates mean anything for an unpopular hero like brig idk what to say, she had like a 65% winrate fgs she wasn’t bad
I play both, and I’m primarily a Mercy main and I personally think that since they have different niches and preferences, the two aren’t mutually interchangeable.
Players dont give a crap about what is fun and what is not. They dont care about OWL meta too. They choose what is working. Thats why the most boring hero in the game in the most boring meta ever (Orisa) had 14% pickrate. Thats why Mercy had 100% pickrate for a year.
Becouse players want to win the game.
Orisa was extremely broken at the time, even after shield nerfs she was but people didn’t want to play her, you’d go into ranked games where the DPS would ask for orisa sigma and the tanks would just flat say no because they didn’t want to, not because they were bad. You’re a joke if you think people chose what’s good over their personal preference
