Mercy isn’t ‘meta’, she’s viable. Ana and Lucio are meta and Moira’s pickrate isn’t too far behind Mercy’s.
If you’re always locking Mercy, that’s your own fault. And I don’t see you complaining about Lucio/Ana who have been meta since the games creation, so why not just play them? If you’re sick of playing Mercy, don’t play her lmao

TBF When Brig replaces Lucio he is still niche but when he replaces her she gets no playtime. Also he has been meta longer than her and has been the hero with the longest time in the meta ever.
Before you ask I will trying to find the stats for that.
Yeah I know, I’d just much rather play Lucio than be forced to play Brig or lose.
And I am sure Brig players feel that way when Lucio is meta. Which, we don’t know if Brig is or isn’t meta.
So what makes you more special than them? Nothing.

Lucio hasn’t been pick-or-lose since the 30m aura days. Brig has been must-pick for almost all of her life, except for her 200hp days.
This is just false. Lucio was a must pick during GOATs, and has been meta for the last 3 months. Brig wasn’t meta or a must pick at all after they nerfed her the first time, and was only meta in GM before her second hard nerf.

Yes he has. Literally the statistics support Lucio being meta for a long time now. Mercy is viable right now, just like Moira, and now Brigitte. I play Baptiste, and he feels ‘viable’ but it is hard to tell right now.
All the supports are feeling pretty good except Ana/Zen for different reasons.

Meta only really matters in GM, and you look at the stats for the past 3 months, it puts Mercy in second place, under Ana. And if you really want to go there, Mercy is in second place in every other rank too.

It’s a huge problem because they doubled her self healing when her HP was cut to 200
Can we just have it back at 200 or revert the self healing buff please because that 25 extra HP doesn’t sound like much but it denies so many breakpoints now

Only the bad mercy’s pocket, cause there to bad at seeing everything around them, I might prioritize the most impactful hero, but i dont pocket. If i can safely fly to you i will heal you, if i cant o well

I don’t think the suprise factor of Brig suddenly being good again comes from comparing her to 250 hp Brig. It’s comparing her to prepatch Brig who was exactly the same except for 25hp. Like how exactly does a 25hp turn a “trash, throwpick” into a “good, autol-lock”.
I mean it truly is that much of a game changer why not just add 25hp to Orisa and watch this 25hp gamechanger bring her up into the meta aswell.
Contenders is using Brig/Zen with dive tanks and flank dps.

Brig does not compete with Mercy, she does compete with Lucio.
Mercy is no protective support at all, she is evasive but has no tools at all to protect her teammates besides plain healing.

How long has Mercy been outshined by bit only Brig, but the rest of the support role, with the exception of Zen?
Mercy deserves to have some spotlight. You don’t need to play Mercy; Ana’s still miles better than her. Play Ana. Or hell, just play any other healer - the game’s in a place where most heroes can be ran, regardless of how good they are, hence Mercy’s comeback. So just play someone else. No one’s sat in your room with a gun to your head saying ‘Play Mercy’, are they?
