Blizz Launcher says 'Playing' but game doesn't load. No OW process running

Been happening for the past 2 weeks, when I load up blizzard launcher and click the big “Play” it changes to “Playing” and greys out however no game launches… and there’s no Overwatch.exe application running in task manager.
It sits like this indefinitely.

I’ve tried restarting the browser and still shows up as “Playing”

Because it thinks the game has launched I cant even click the options to Scan and Fix files.

The only thing that fixes it (temporarily) is:
I have to RESTART my whole PC
Delete C Program Files (x86) Battle net folder
Launch Battle net
Select where the game files are located
Click Play

Only then does it load correctly. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

Is this everytime you wanna re-open ow you have to do these steps? or only the first time? you may be onto something here.

Try go to Task Manager, then right-click Overwatch.exe, then “End Task”

its looks like a problem that is only getting bigger.

If ure running Windows 8.1 or 10, you need to expand Task Manager, then go to the “Details” tab, then find “Overwatch.exe”

If anyone in this forum still has this issue, there is a temp fix: Open bnet as usual, then disconnect your internet, hit the play button on overwatch, it will open within 2-10 seconds, when its not able to log you in, in the actual game, re-connect your internet, sign in, and it should work.
