Why does his tank have to be on a cooldown? Why canāt it just be like recon or sentry?
See honestly I think I like the 500hp shield idea. I feel like this would take away the need for an Orisa or rein to babysit the bastion. When I first started playing bastion in the beta I though he was really OP with a 1000hp shield. I feel like cutting the shields health pool in half and giving it back to bastion it would make bastion so much better of a character. I used to main bastion when the game first came out but after all the nerfs and new characters bastion isnāt useable anymore. I find that Iām constantly being shredded and the only way I stay alive is by being surrounded by tanks or by playing against new players who donāt full understand the game. I went from being a high plat bastion main to a 700sr bronze player. The only reason why I climbed the ranks again is because I started to play different characters with more mobility or ones that didnāt rely on shield tanks.
Bastion has been merged through the floor, yes they tightened his spread but they hurt his healing by making the animation longer and putting it on a small resource. I honestly canāt justify playing him except when Iām in QP or when we do a pirate ship in junker town. His pick rate reflects that too with the pick rate for bastion at all ranks being less than 1%. Heās so niche that he might as well just not exist in the game.

Well that depends on how fast the shield would regenerate. 500hp on a shield really isnāt much at all and it can be destroyed with 2 or 3 arrow shots from Hanzo.

Someone earlier in this thread had the idea that you could use the same resource as the self heal to repair the shield. The shield would also the regenerate in recon mode. I feel like this would work without making it OP

Yeah I guess that could work out quite well.
It still stands because the only thingās theyāve done since this post was increase recon ammo and do the reverse spread thing. Neither addresses most of what this thread is about. Well, I guess they also nerfed his healing so thereās a delay after healing and doing stuff with ruins using tankmode.
