I prefer Baptiste and Sombra as friends, personally. In terms of het ships, I feel like he’d be better paired with Mercy, honestly. They have history and common ground of rejecting what they see as terrible mistakes of their pasts as well as being medical professionals. I also feel like there’d be a good dynamic there (I also really hate the idea of Genji/Mercy. It feels too much like broken bird syndrome to me.)
However, I will ccept Sombra/Baptiste on the grounds that it’ll sink the Sombra/Sigma ship which is just…yikes any time I think of it.
In terms of an M/M ship, though, I really like Mauga/Baptiste as having been a thing but no longer after Baptiste realizing what a toxic mess Mauga is.
Sombra/Sigma is a scary idea. Although Sigma could be written to have a wife who is a professional pianist, which would proc his ult, and just lead to all sorts of delightful mayhem.
I think it would be interesting to see them paired because Bap is a good though snarky person and Sombra is just evil as hell. It would be good storytelling.
Mauga’s a Talon tank, he was originally supposed to be Hero 31 until the Devs decided Sigma was better suited to his kit. Not speculation, devs flat-out stated it. He was also Bap’s partner in Talon until he jumped ship. He’s…not a good guy.
Doomfist is shipped on occasion with Reaps, winston has been put into a sapi(en haha)osexual relationship with Athena, but hammond is a hamster. Deserves that tbh.
Personally im all in on McCree being a bisexual disaster who can b put with anyone but hanzo, and mercy is lotsa fun to have as his similarly bisexual disaster yin to the yang.
I’m also a big fan of ana/moira. Older women who are more/less the figures behind of reaper and 76. Fantastic angst potential.
I am only sad about it because 76 was the best choice to pair Mercy with. They not only had a great basis to be together, but they had plenty to bicker about due to their not-significant agreement on a lot of major issues. But they’re both giants in what they do, so that would only make it more entertaining.
Well, Mercy is 37; she just LOOKS like a 22 year old xD . I am sure she’s so sorry about it, too. xD

The only one I ever find myself actively wanting to happen is Angela Genji, esp every time of year around NOW when we hear them exchange chocolate gifts for Vday
My weirdest ship because it makes no sense is… Road/Sombra. I think it works ins weird way and their Halloween skins just prove it more. Tbh I still think it’s strange but sometimes weird stuff works.
