I hope you dont eat so much popcorn irl.
Makes you fat in that amount.
Its for others. I like tea more.
I wonder how long it’s gonna be until people realize that pretty much every other competitor has a battle pass, and it’s not like the devs need to reinvent the wheel here.

The thing is they dont want to
Here ya go:
She sure does ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Appealing to convention/popularity is a well known logical fallacy. This one is easily beaten by a saying from every mother from 1950s onward:
If every other competitor was jumping off of a bridge, should Overwatch do the same?
Do you mean to imply that everyone who disagrees is willfully ignorant?

Yes, yes I am.
Because of stuff like this.
You don’t have to get to level 61 for that
Oh man, you will have to pay extra to unlock that.

Nah. For example: you in particular have shown multiple times that you dont know that a live service game has to operate vs a game like Witcher 3 for example. I will not try again but the general information about the model we are in and how other games with this model get their money is very poor and coupled together with “but OW1 was better” leads to discussions with no real outcome. Because one side want it to be better/ as good as the old and the other tries to explain it why this is not possible anymore. With the result that insults and passive-aggressive comments are thrown around.
Could you imagine if they actually gave loot boxes in the battle pass instead of skins? At that point I would insist there be a chance you get smaller battle passes with the chance for more loot boxes as potential prizes from them. Keep the cycle going.
A battle pass has to have many skins, there are hardly any, that’s not a good thing
On the contrary, most Battle Passes in the industry have 2-3 skins, 4 max. Then they have useful in game materials like power-ups, crafting materials, load out advantages, experience boosters, in game currency to buy cosmetics and materials for gameplay, etc.
But OW isn’t an MMO or a Battle Royale, the two genres that define and thrive off of a Battle Pass model. All OW can conceivably give its players are cosmetics.
This studio has show they are not in the least bit dedicated to consistent content. And Blizzard aside, clearly you haven’t seen many other games that operate off of a Battle Pass if you think you’re getting a skin every 10 levels.
I went with 70 levels as there will be 70 days in a season of OW2. One level per day is how most BPs run. I’d expect a
A 70 level run to grant 2 seasonal skins at best, then some gambling, err, um, “Mystery Box” skins and some insignificant and miniscule amount of currency development to bait players into buying more currency with IRL dollars (something like where the entire Battle Pass nets you 20-30% of the total currency required to buy a skin, so you just cave and buy tokens with IRL dollars to complete the purchase).
Give it time, soon the only way to get a balance fix is through bp or shop. Want Mercy 5 man rez? $500.
I can 100% see them charging for PVE Heroes.
Each hero is locked behind a paywall. Possibly have different skill trees locked behind them too.
