Really, removing Hanzo’s Storm Arrow ability to headshot is just wrong as it incites more spamming. Body damage should be reduced with a buff on head shot (and of course, a fix on his headshot hitbox).
Already if you stand completely behind a wall:
There are spot that are bugged however mostly either with the Sombra crouching or with weird height differences Im still testing for those but till now all I could find are more beneficial to the one getting hacked and pretty bad for Sombra herself.
For the hack not breaking instandly after going further then 15m that is probably intended because if you would stand at exactly 15m hack would likely weirdly bug with the animation of starting and breaking hack tho here too im still testing.
Probably making an educational Post about hack this weekend
For storm arrow how about 50 damage with 3x headshot multiplier? Sounds decent enough.
… nope. Just tested it and their model can be fully behind the wall but still hacked.
As it is right now it have 6 arrows at 70 damage with 2x multiplier, correct? (So 420 body shot and 840 headshot potential)
You got a good number there, since it would almost keep the average damage (300 body damage and 900 headshot, lowering the average from 630 to 600)
Now that I think about it though, they’d never do that. it’d have to be a 2.95x multiplier so it doesn’t end up at 150. But it seems more balanced that way.
Look at my post. I did hours on testing on this one if your hitbox is exposed you get hacked its that simple. How I said there are bugs some when Sombra is crouching and some when there are weird height differences but all of those benefit the one hacked not Sombra so they aren’t a big deal tho it be nice if they got fixed.
Absolutely bad changes.
Only one comes close and its more like a “bug” fix, the one with Hack LOS.
It took me 30 seconds to prove this wrong. All I did was go into testing grounds, hack ending behind a wall, don’t move, shoot gun at the corner. Not one bullet hit them. Hitboxes have nothing to do with it. Literally uploading a video right now.
Here you go
I mean for 1 your using Sombra to test the hitbox which is incredibly inaccurate and 80% of your bullets go straight into the wall.
And if you use Sombra’s gun you will need to searched longer of the hitbox considering the spread
Tho that clip is enough to recreate it and I will do just that
And your using training bots which have a weird hitbox anyway.
And your not using the hacking position but the position you landed on after reacting to it.
And Another point is perspective which falls under the same category as crouch or big height differences which is an actuall bug in her los the one I was talking about that gives the enemy an advantage but you a disadvantage.
There is way to many things that can give you an error here.
It’s replicable with a little trial and error.
Training bots still work well enough for this purpose.
The point isn’t that you use the starting position, you use the ending one. That’s the whole argument.
24 frames they’re visible, 14 frames, they’re not. That’s over 1/3 of the hacking animation in which they don’t have to be visible necessarily. That’s a bit much.
Yea it is
They would work if you could load it into workshop to get accurate results.
And Im not talking about the starting point im talking about the ending point but taking the ending point purly on reacting is wrong thats Why my workshop mode saves the location in the exact same tick as when hack is finished. Aka the exact endingpoint and not the point you stopped after hack.
And again how I said there are bugs with her los when perspective is put to its extreams considering how close you are to the wall its highly likely that it falls under that but im still testing on that one.
The real “forum heroes” are:
-
Ana - Obligatory meta dictator that can anti and nano anyone at will anywhere on the map.
-
Doomfist - No cooldown, Tekken juggle combo master with an effective 600 health.
-
Mercy - The Doomfist of supports.
-
Roadhog - A walking Pulse Bomb factory that whose primary is on an 8 second cooldown.
I was literally motionless for the ending 12 frames of the hack, so… I executed it perfectly on that attempt, pretty much. Didn’t move from the ending spot whatsoever.
Even if you somehow made it accurate there is still the perspective bug which I can’t comment on yet because it still requires more testing.
I actually really like your Hanzo passive suggestion. This actually encourages Hanzo players to stick on a target and be rewarded for good play, instead of either spamming arrows at nothing and getting a lucky headshot through the stairs, or getting in a bad situation and activating “fan the bowstrings” - I mean - “storm arrow”.
