This is the 5th time in the last 3 days that I have been disconnected from a game either at the end or mid game.
I get a red lost connection screen and then half a second later I’m on the home screen. It’s happened so often that I got on this evening and had a warning that I will be penalized if I continue to leave matches.
I’m not saying it’s related to these server issues however it’s funny how this only started when the server issues started - at least from personal experience. Overwatch is the only thing in my house having ‘connectivity issues’.
PS. I’m not one to complain on any forums usually, I only came here because it’s getting pretty frustrating.

Im agree. Ive been exoeriencing issues thjs whole week with even going into training grounds and being on 250 ping. I try VPN oceanic servers and same issue
So just had an [ORD1] server which is a first (normally PSE1). worst lag yet… was actually unplayable.

have been playing most of the night and through peak period. Been matched to SYD2 server in competitive all night with 40 avg ping (thank you) and then this match matched me to PSE with 160+ ping. Didn’t kick me and not much spiking either.

Honestly this is crap. I haven’t played a match where I could actually communicate with any of my teammates because they don’t speak English. It’s been over a week of this and I’m losing crazy amounts of SR. Frick

Just letting you know I haven’t had any latency issues the last 2 nights from Auckland, NZ (ISP Spark). Despite the poor communication and lack of accountability from Blizzard, I would like to thank the team who actually came up with the solution for this.

Are you still being placed in ORD1 and facing issues ? coz I am also being placed in ORD1 and getting latency issues.
i have been placed in correct servers and had no lag last 2 days
I’m affected by both this bug and the high latency to PSE so it’s hard to say when this started.
I’m definitely in a PSE server right now though.
EDIT: Four games in a row… Overwatch is unplayable for me and has been for at least a week. Going to have to take a break for a while.

Have been correctly matched to the SYD2 server all night approx 7 games. Pings are back to sub 40ms every sessions without any lag spikes. Thought I would winMTR you in case it is of some use for the others still having issues.

I’m getting both problems. probably 60% of the time i’m being placed on a PSE server. CTRL + SHIFT + N confirms this. i’m on iiNET in regional NSW.
About 20% of the time i’m being placed on an SYD server with regular ping, and the other 20% of the time i’m on SYD with a ping of over 200. funny thing is that when this happens, the girlfriend is often in the same game as me (as duo) and on the same connection as me (we’re sitting next to each other) and she’ll have the usual 45-50 ping, i’ll be on 200. CTRL+SHIFT+N says syd, but my ping is ridiculous.
doesn’t seem to matter if it is quick play or comp, or morning or night. just seems to be pretty random.
I’ve been experiencing it for about 2 weeks. and the last instance was about 5 minutes ago.
I’ve also been getting comp games on PSE servers where you load in and someone/several someones are missing and the game cancels like a QP game with not enough players, no SR seems to be lost.
so much SR lost…
i hope you can get this fixed soon.
Unpinned? Why? Do Blizzard just not care about OCE anymore? I guess it’s pretty clear they don’t.

I was under the impression the issue had been fixed. OCE servers are back to normal for me.
Still ending up on PSE from time to time but I’m also seeing the issue now where even when connected to syd2 (37.244.42.63) I have high ping.
